Utah Evos
LOL. You are the one with an avatar of some long haired dude deep throating a banana! And we're gay?
What did he charge you? I may want him to take a look at my Super Racings this spring. I want to check out your cusco's sometime as well, perhaps go for a ride.
Looks like its free, and perhaps a good parking spot? I think i'll pass on the parade lap, but i'll go for a reserved place to park. I agree, we need to put the smack down on all the out of town noobs. I think you'll be cool on your slicks. With everything going on I doubt there will be more than a self-tech.
Are you asking a real question, or do you just like posting over and over that you have an evo 4? We get it. You have an evo 4. We've all driven it. We all wish we had ayc. Congrats.

Yeah, I'm definately going to have to stick with my original statement.
There has been one and only one JDMish car that has been respectable enough to stomp my "US" EVO. Integra GSR with a B18C* based built motor in it. Water injection with a Eaton Whipple super charger running about 10psi or so. The owner would 'finally' shift at about 10k, and that wide rpm range really made the car sing.
Some of the other goodies were Darton sleeves, Eagle rods, JE pistons, and the whole bottom end was balanced to 12,000rpm (Remember the Spoon boys?). The top end got super nice valves and a 5-angle grind on some nice steel valve seats.
The formula is the same the world around regarding tricked out cars ... lots of buildup care, and a sound plan from the ground up. There is no magic car purchase out there that puts anybody into a pwnage mode.
A JDM illeg4lzz imp0rtz needs just as much knowhow about getting it to go fast as any other c4rz out ther3z.

yes I was. I didn't know if safety would pass since it doesn't have a front bumper beam. Thats my only concern. I don't think they will look that closely at it.
are you the least bit worried that there will be dedicated race cars with semi-pro or pro drivers in the advanced category? i signed up for intermediate just in case.
I've been on the track with "race" cars before, and unless they are fully setup for some national class (ALMS, Speed Challange, etc.) they have to conform to some class that will limit their potential. Which basically makes them slower. So, basically they are just moving roadblocks.
Evo 4 guy -
I'm sure the tech guys will be more interested with the fact that you have such a unique car to go around pulling your bumper covers off. You have a UT reg, that will be enough for them, probably even overkill.
dedicated race cars? I scoff at dedicated race cars... And no, a dedicated race car for most of us to fear wouldn't be qualified to race in the track battle (not street legal)...
Plus, I'd rather have an intellegent driver in a "dedicated" GT3 go past me then get stuck behind traffic all day.

If its your first event, it will be fun. Going to the track is almost like joining a club. The club of us that have enough ***** to run the road course. Everyone is pretty friendly and except for the occaisional id10t, pretty cool.
If you dont still have the evo, just run the murano. lol
Murano on the track FTL
I did one event last year with the SCCA on the full track with Jake as my instructor. I had a great time with just one off as I had forgotten where I was on the track (full track is alot to remember).
I may just be in a slow sentra SE-R, if my evo sells before then.

Don't get me started on how long I was in the beginner group at events...
Hey wait, is that a comment on my abilities as an instructor Jeremy? Haha. How's the part-out going?
And what I'd really be intimidated by is an ******* in a very nice exotic, luckily I don't think any of them would spend 75 dollars to run with a bunch of punk kids, they prefer renting the track for themselves for a day...
