One the ugliest cars sold in the usa is the impreza.
And? You might as well use the Top Gear cool wall as a reference.

There is no point in arguing about subjectivity.

looks are subjective but how i look at these cars is.

most of us are into modding cars and what not. so the impreza will be lighter and a bit more powerfull than the RA. but thats what modding is for right?

what im saying is id rather have an attractive car that is slow to only mod to make faster rather than a ugly car that is faster stock.

kind of like women. would you rather be with a girl with a good looking face and a bit chubby or a girl that is ugly in the face with a hot body. the body can be sculpted to be beautiful but the face, well she or you better have deep pockets.

you cant fix ugly so to speak.

We are talking about performance cars and I only apply this sort of reasoning to machines. Machines don't need to be pretty to perform.

IMO, RA has a bigger potential than the impreza with its kick *** ACD + front/rear LSD 4WD system. Although the imprezza's lighter, but its only on normal 4wd. We can fix the weight, but not what's underneath the car.

How is the WRX AWD inferior to that of the Ralliart?

If I can afford it I would get a custom wide body done for the Ra that would make it wider than the Evo X. It would be inspired by Super GT500 race cars. The whole kit will be designed to not imitate the X and I'll put a big *** sticker on the side that says "THIS IS NOT AN EVO X!!!!!!!!!!".

To be real not everyone wants a Evo becuz of higher payments and crazy insurance payments too. So the RA gives some the chance to lower all of that. Plus a chance to save for more aftermarket parts. So since it isnt a Evo doesnt mean you cant mod to car to be faster or out handle (which im not sayin it can or cant be done)
My Friend has a STI and his father has a WRX, his fathers WRX is faster and handles better then his sons STI now (he isnt trying to make it a STI but just make a fast car). Its also tru that he can mod his car and be faster but what one will and wont do will make the difference in that individual's car.
Well at the end of the Day its a Lancer, so a Lancer trying to be its older Lancer sounds funny.

I agree. Why not try to be as fast as a stock Evo? Why not try to be faster than a stock Evo? Of course mod for mod the Evo will be faster, but who cares? It's about the fun in making your car faster and better. Some of the people in the 2009 Lancer Ralliart General forum are missing the point of this site. This is an enthusiast site composed mainly of people that want to go faster.

I'm sure many of the Evo X parts are swappable into the RA which will make it the same car after all is said and done. I wonder if they run the same ECU and TCU? Because if so, the same programming can also be copied over.
