updated wrx... what does this mean for the ralliart
That might be what they'll have to do or they'll find some other way to ensure that the only way to get evo performance is with an evo (ie. modify the Ralliart suspension enough that you cannot swap with the evo, make the transmission different, etc). I was talking more about putting 275 tires on a street car, the only cars I know with rubber like that are high-end sport cars like the Corvette or Viper.
You might get 28 more hp but count on getting less than what would be the perfect amount for your money.. its the corporate way...
I can't see the evo coming with 275 tires, most people don't want a car that tracks every groove in the road. Subaru and Mitsubishi are in exactly the same predicament, any changes they make to their lesser performance car could harm their top of the line performance car.
True but insane performance comes with an insane price tag. The Evo and STIs are pretty damn good with 300 HP, I'm not sure if the extra 100 HP from the factory would be worth the major increase in cost.

LOL... nah i just wanted a car that i liked and would last until it is payed off (2 more years!) I am not into high performance at all hence my auto tranny... I payed $10K for my 323i with 60K miles a steal!!!! and a good move from my POS 03 lancer ES
I'm not talking about street racing, I'm talking about taking it to the track. I'm just one of those people that doesn't care that much about how their car looks. As long as there's no dents and no obvious scratches, I'm happy. I spend more time fretting over some tread wear than I do about rock chips.
It also makes it noisier, more expensive to maintain, less fuel efficient and harder to drive. I have 235s on my WRX and they can be annoying at times since they'll literally try to follow any and all lines in the road. The difference in grip between the stock 245s and 275s would be marginal compared to other problems. This has come up on NASIOC before and is a major reason why I went for 235s rather than 245s or 255s.
Again true, but the evo and STI got to where they are because of guys like me. If everyone just sat around fussing about rock chips, the evo would be bland like Accords.
You Are right but if they insist on increasing the weight then they need to up the power to keep the "fast feel"! and avoid griping from enthusiasts.
The new Accord looks awesome in two or four door configuration. To me it looks better than the previous Evo and STI and the current STI.
