updated wrx... what does this mean for the ralliart
Don't know about that. I was waiting on the Ralliart but comparing price and everything, I think the 08 (or 09) Accord Coupe w/ 6 speed manual transmission (its selling point to me, compared with the RA) is a decent car. In its V6 configuration anyway, with 268 horses pulling it forward.
I know it's not AWD but it shows in the fuel consumption too, which is a selling point for some.

I completely understand your concerns for your next car. Now I haven't driven the new accords but take your first turn in the car vs. the RA and you will see a major difference. Accords usually handle very well considering what segment and customer they are selling to. But with two drivers of the same skill, there is no way an accord will outright outperform an RA (or even come close although that is purely my opinion because I haven't driven either). The accord is a decent car if you want to drive to work and back. The RA appeal is to allow you to do that while letting you track it on the weekends (or canyons).

Here is some more news on the WRX sedan getting the 265ph tweak, as well.

By the way, seems the base price of the RA is know known:
Okay, how much is all of this practicality and compromise going to cost me? Mitsubishi has given the Ralliart a base price of $26,490 but hasn't yet announced the destination charge - currently, it's $675 for all Lancers, but could go up for the 2009 model year.
