Thanks for that infro evo8 DU, regarding the tracking system. I have been wondering about that cost and it looks as though as great deal of the cost of the car includes both the tracking system and the monitoring. And your probably right about the test car. I didn't see it myself, but i cant see any cars from the shelf being available yet. But yeah it might be a couple of weeks yet.

By the way, here's my confirmed pricing breakdown.

Vehicle $61,990
Leather $3,000
Stamp Duty approx $2,470
Dealer Delivery $1495
Business Rego $365
CTP Greenslip $358
Plate Fee $33

I'm not sure if you pay Stamp Duty on the leather, as it's an 'option', but running the figures I think you do.

All up figure for me: $69711

Without leather it would be about $66440 in NSW

I've posted this before, but Luxury Tax is included in the price.

Am I the only one who's asked any questions here?

Can only speak for WA. Stamp duty ONLY appiles to the Retail price of the car - $61,990. That is what I have been informed of by my dealer. Hopefully it is all true.

Thanks for the breakdowns guys, I'll see if my dealer can stomach another call from me tomorrow

Well, our RTA charges a small amount for a set of number plates in addition to registration costs, and the other thing is the Compulsory Third Party insurance that you must have regardless of whether you insure your car.

The plate charge may be specific to NSW, but I wouldn't think CTP was.

Thanks for that.
Ahhh OK. Our 3rd Party Charge is included in the Rego costs, while regarding the plates there are no charges unless you want a Private plate.

Thanks

Well as far as I can tell my work collegue is the first person here to drive his EVO 8!!!

After being sick of waiting for the dealer to deliver "this week", he organised to go himself to the Ingleburn NSW warehouse and pickup his car to save time. He drove it from there to to Parramatta Mitsu where it needs to be registered, and have the dealer safety inspection. He takes delivery Friday afternoon. First impressions are it's very nice, although not as quick as his EVO 6. But his EVO 6 has exhaust, filter and more boost, so I'm not surprised by that. Can't wait to go for a drive in it tomorrow, will let you know the updates!

Pete

Just and observation. See if anyone agrees with me.

After this ordeal about waiting mostly in teh dark for these cars, I have found that they are getting built up way too much in reality. What I mean by this is that I am sure that teh car in my head is better thann the real thing. It has become an obsession. Sorting out every little bit of info that I can find. Seeing every pic I can see. Working out specs and price. It's like we are wanting to know more about the car than anyone else does.

IS it getting out of proportion? I know I have had some sleepless nights since signing up in Jan this year (and know some of you signed up earlier). The car is going to be great, yes! It will be very limited edition here in Aus, yes! Taken too much energy in worry and effort in research for something that we cannot change the outcome of, most likely.

Anyway, just a late night rant from me.

Still, I am very excited, just would like to know a date so I can work out my sleep patterns
