Al is unable to post in this forum. If you would like to talk to him, please go over to his dynoflash specific forum under the vendor forum section of this site.
I am going to close this thread and unsticky it. If people want to post about their Dynoflash experiences, they should feel free to do so in the Dynoflash forum.

I just got my ECU in the mail yestarday. And then I reibstalled it. I was very please with the power very smooth car sounds better to. That was the begining. I went strait to the speed shop and got a Greddy Profec B spec 2 installed. Now it is faster than fu@k!!!! And then my friend want to race me he has a down pipe and thats it one word smoked.(He has an EVO to) Not sure how much HP or TQ there is but I'm only set at 17.8PSI. And AL wants me to set it at 19.5PSI well see the what happens. But Al thank you very much for the Tune!!! It is well worth the money and my *** dyno say hell ya! PS my other friends EVO felt a little slow? Is that right?
Kicks ***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just wanted to say Im very happy with the DYNO FLASH. AL I have to say it your the MAN!!!!!!!!! I live in the Littleton, CO area and it work perfect. I only got the Boost controller set at 17.8 PSI and its damn fast!! Im gonna set it to 19.5 PSI like AL said some time but I think I'll do it when the car feels normal to me again. Ps my friend has an EVO also with a downpipe and I raced him and I killed him. Turbo spool is wonderful!!
Just wondering if the setting are store in the EEPROM chip or something similar to hondata in which the chip can easily be remove using a socket. This way you can have more then one chip for multiple settings.
Just a thought.
Just a thought.
My Dynoflash Results
Al came down to custom street tune my car last month in houston.
I finally put my car on a dyno yesterday. Here are the results.
AWD dynojet, 93 octane.
Mods:
HKS Downpipe, UR test pipe, HKS Carbon Ti Exhaust, K&N Drop-in filter, Greddy ProfecB SpecII set @ 20psi, Walbro 255lph, HKS 264/272, Dynoflash.
Runs 1 and 2 were done back to back. We let the car cool down for 10 minutes then made the 3rd run.
Dynorun.001 Max Power = 296.9.....................Max Torque = 321.0
Dynorun.002 Max Power = 307.1.....................Max Torque = 313.2
Dynorun.003 Max Power = 311.3.....................Max Torque = 306.1
We used this fan for airflow

I only made three runs because i'm poor. The A/F ratio actually began to level off at 11.1 after the car warmed up. I was making an extra 5whp after each run.

I think your car was acutally TOO HOT on run # 3 - there is no ventilation what so ever at turbochargers.com as the dyno is in the very back of the shop
Its hard to tell from the screen shot but it looks like the run # 1 with 322 ft lbs had a perfect 11.0 / 1 a/f curve - nice and flat
Then it looks like the coolant temps when sky high and the ecu started dumping fuel - running it super rich
HOW MUCH time did they take between runs to allow the car to cool down ?
BTW - did you re-set the boost on the dyno? The awd dyno jet gives a slightly lower load than the street. Whenever i tune on the Pruven AWD dyno jet i have to turn up the settings on the boost controller - then after I am done I always drive the car on the street to get the same 20 psi as the dyno - I always have to turn the boost controller back down a few clicks.
I would have liked to have seen a bit more whp out of your car - maybe 10 - 15 more (I know from driving it and smoking the SL55 AMG that it has at least 320 whp for sure . . . BUT - I'm pleased as the trq curve looks super smooth and i
ts obvious the tune is holding well I am willing to pay for another dyno session for you at Turbochargers.com becuase I know your car is very capable of making more whp is they take the proper care to duplicate the way we run it on the street
Best regards !

EDIT: Pictures have been updated..........
I'll take you up on that offer Al. I wanna go back and make 320+ whp.

The proper procedure is as follows
Do one run without a/f sniffer to clear out exhuast pipe for acurate read - does not have to be full pass - at the same time start watching the boost - - its good to hook up a second bost gauge to verify as many gagues can be off up to a lbs or two
make sure the boost is hitting 21 psi approx and then falling down to between 19.5 psi and 20 psi as it passes 6,000 - often the boost will fall slightly more after 6,000
IN MOST CASES you will have to turn up your boost from your street settings about one psi on the Dyno Jet AWD dyno
then let car cool down - hook up scan tool
start car and let run at low speed in 2nd gear till car is at 172 degrees collant temp - then immediately shift to 3rd gear
and start pull
PS - Its nice to see the car holding a nice smooth curve even with back to back pulls
on that dyno - I don't care how big a fan they put in front of it - its stuck in the back of a long shop with little or no fresh O2 comming in to power the car - if the car can stay smooth under those conditions it will be good on the road
Even though the whp number is a bit low - looking again at the chart - its a nice flat power band all the way from 3500 rpms up with plenty of action to the left of the curve - in fact the curve is one big flat line.
I just want to get your car dynoed the right way so it will show a number in the 320 range which is how your car ran when i drove it - it was fast

Al - have you mapped the ECU's fuel enrichment behavior pretty closely? What are the breakpoint temps at which it starts to enrich, and how much?

I share a lot of info - if you follow what I post then basically you can figure out mostly everything
Best regards
