AEM UEGO Serial Cable Instructions
If you read labels it is fine. They label it as a male plug and it is numbered as a male plug but it show a female end.
Or maybe it is numbered as a female plug and shows a female plug and says male end. I'm not sure
Either way the solid end with holes should be numbered
5 4 3 2 1
9 7 8 6
when facing you.

Hey guys,
I'm running AEM UEGO and it has three 4 wires
Red -12v
Black-ground
Blue- goes to the serial to usb adapter
White- the 0-5 v output...
Everything has a place to go to except the white wire... do I need it? i read it needs to be taped off or heat wrapped to avoid making shorts.
any input would be appreciated

Ok nevermind,
found the manual online
*WHITE <Analog Output><optional hookup>
Connects to any Stand Alone ECU unit that accepts a 0-5 volt input.

Analog Output
"If the AEM UEGO gauge is to be connected to an AEM EMS, the UEGO gauge’s
WHITE Analog Output wire shall be connected to an EMS Lambda input. Locating a
suitable Lambda input channel can be done using the Application Notes provided with the EMS."
According to that, unless you're connecting it to an EMS, you don't need to worry about the white wire.
It should be fine, you should check the position of the selector knob in the back with the table in the instructions to make sure that you have it set for the mode that you want but you can move to just about any fuel and it will be just fine since it calculates and AF ratio off of lambda. Therefore if you switch to even something like e85 you will still shoot for the same AF ratios in your tune. One thing to consider is that many race fuels are leaded, this will destroy your sensor very quickly.

MOTORSPORT 103
MS103 provides power and protection equal to some leaded racing fuels. Compared to Motorsport 101, it allows even more aggressive timing and higher compression-up to 14:1 in cast iron head engines and up to 15:1 with aluminum heads. Can allow doubling of stock boost - consult your engine builder. Also contains no metal compounds and won't harm catalytic converters or oxygen sensors. AMA legal for Supercross & Outdoor Nationals.
* Color: Red
* Oxygenated: Yes
* Motor Octane 99
* R+M/2: 103
* Specific Gravity: .743 at 60° F

So i hooked mine up, plugged it in, and it reads correctly for about ~3-4 seconds and then freezes on a number.... I thought it might be a wiring issue so I bought a new female end and rewired it, same thing. I also switched grounds a few times.
Has anyone had this problem?

Hey guys. I have an issue.
I have the aem gauge all connected and its working just fine. However, I cannot for the life of me get the serial output to work. It was working yesterday for a couple logs and I thought it was just fine. Now this morning when I was getting ready to be tuned the output no longer talks with my computer. I hadn't changed anything at all.
Anyways so I've reinstalled the drivers, rebooted a million times, etc. All cable connections were checked and rechecked. The only thing that I can think of is the serial to usb connection cable is bad?
Any ideas? I've tried everything under the sun. Comm port swaps, you name it. PLEASE HELP!

Power, ground, analog out, and serial out. Generally you would leave the analog out unconnected unless you had a reason to pipe that output into your ecu such as controlling your closed loop with a wideband.
where do you get the 4 pin connector to hook up to the back of the gauge and what calibration settings would you use if running e85?v
Nevermind, read the manual.... and my buddy, whom I got the gauge from, forgot to give me the other connector- hence the confusion.
