Then it seemed to work. Do you think you should put that in there?

I just made a few changes to the copy on my computer, but I'm PMing you to check a few things.

Very good news: I have found the tables that need to be modified in the '03 and '04 Evo 8 ROMs to stop the P1400 CEL when using the JDM MAP sensor. This may spill over into the Evo 9 ROM mods too. Its going to take a few days to get everything written up for all the different ROMs.

mrfred and I have confirmed that the P1400 code is now gone. He has found the tables and I modified them and it all works. He is working on getting a how-to document together.

Instructions have been updated to include Evo 8 9417008 and 94170014 ROMs. If you don't see your ROM in the list of ROMs (this is a USDM-only mod), please email it to me, and I will find the tables.

I'm now looking again at the '05 Evo 8 and '06 Evo 9 ROMs to see if I can find some additional tables. I may be posting up a few more tables for those ROMs in a few days.

I'm missing the green plug that goes into the map sensor
you don't need that for the car to work. it's just a stock boost sensor for the ecu to now when to fuel cut. i have a magnus intake manifold and left that thing disconnected.

If anyone is interested in one, you can take my spot. I just recently was sent to Texas for work, and the EVO went in storage for 12 weeks, so I won't be using if for awhile.

Mrfred, if nobody pick up my spot, let me know, and I will pick it up anyways. No sense in me picking it up if I am not going to be able to get to the car for 13 weeks at the current time. I will be in for one down the road. Like I said, if nobody picks it up, let me know, and I wil get it anyhow since I was committed.

Works great, and helped me double check my boost guage against something that is a constant.

Cool. I've found it to be a very handy tool. I feel much more comfortable pushing the boost up to 24 psi when I know that's exactly what the boost is.

Yeah, I have an electronic autometer cobalt gauge. I bought it about 2 years ago and it was the best gauge they sold at the time (for accuracy). It re-calibrates itself at engine startup.

My point is here that my gauge reads 25 psi but EVOScan reads 23 psi. I feel that the ECU 23 psi is correct.

Anyone else run into this with a "supposedly" good quality gauge.

~Zach

P.S. - Defi gauges / Defi link system is in my garage waiting install. We will see how that reads compared to the ECU.
