no thats what im saying, even if you turn off Vallet mode the CEL keeps on flashing, When you disable it through ECUflash by setting vallet on to 0, it stops flashing, but if you set it to 1, it keeps on flashing with or without it being disabled via gas pedal.

And in theory with the no lift shift when the rpms drop to your set amount how long will they stay there? Until the clutch is released?
I have the same question about the v2. my v1 rom seems to be working great and I just got everything transfered over ( lots of mods to rom) do I need to go to v2?

To answer kreionic, it will hold the drop indefinitely until you release the clutch or the gas pedal, for eg mine is set for a 800 rpm drop during nlts, 7000 rpm shift will attempt to drop to 6200 and hold it. note I say attempt, with the nlts I have completed my shift and released the clutch before the engine has dropped to the nlts limit 99% of the time.

This is great, I love it. It is like learning to drive again though, I have to fight every urge in my body to keep the pedal floored while shifting It is working smooth as butter though

Tephra could you pm me your paypal address so I am sure I paypal the correct person

mine only flashes when the valet mode is actively engaged, and when I hold the pedal to the floor for the 5 secs I set it at to disable the flashing goes away and it drives normal

funny story though after I first flash the map into the car and enabled valet mode I forgot I left it at the 2200 rpm instead of the 3000 that I was going to set it to, I goosed the throttle pretty good to get it up to 3000 in first, and just about kissed the steering wheel when the 2200 limit hit

it _shouldn't_ flash when you are NOT in valet mode.

no problems with setting the valet mode to 300 or whatever either, thats what im going to do as we have had a lot of theives stealing evo's in our area
So the continuous flashing issue that TTP reported, was that for Valet Mode or for the knock feature?

I'm going to setup my valet mode 400 RPM later...thanks for verifying it wont damage anything. Pretty cool feature.

Valet Mode Scenario:
Can I drive your car?
Sure you can drive my car...go for it.
Dude, it won't start?
Did you break something? You holding down the clutch?
Let me check it out (I sit down. 5 secs later...Vrrroooom)...seems fine to me

Repeat process.

for the 96940011 ROM, the CEL and NLTS works perfectly, its the vallet mode that is messed up, CEL keeps on flashing if vallet mode is set to 1 via ECUflash, Vallet mode still works properly, but the CEL light flashes with it enabled or disabled via the gas pedal. anybody else with an 05 evo try the new ROM?

In your case, use (copy and paste) the code in the XMLcode file that is named "1.30 and below." Its pretty straight forward. And NO, you don't copy that into the evobase, you copy it into your ROM XML, like in my case 70008....throw it in at the end of the file after the last /table and before /rom.

The .bin file is the actual modded ROM. You will have to open this rom in ECUflash after you've modded your XML file and then open the rom you have in your ecu now. You then have to copy EVERYTHING you've changed in your current rom into the modded one and reflash with the modded one now set up for your car.

Ok, I upgraded to the newest version of ECUFlash v1.32 and I copied the date from the patch XML required for version 1.31 & above.

Not sure what I did wrong, but now the scaling on the x & y axis (rpm & load) is all messed up, most of my features are greyed out and I don't see any of the patch options...

I tried putting everything back to normal but its still showing the rom all messed up...

You might need to update your evo7 base and evo9 base xml's if you just copied over all your old xml files

Thats been a common problem with the new ecuflashes. I saw no reason to change. I am still rocking 1.29

well, I got the file to show the new patch options and all the scaling is correct again. I had to uninstall and reinstall everything then make the metadata directory look in the right place for the modified XML.

So I transfered all my info over and flashed the car but it wouldn't start.

I read back a few pages about people having the same problem. I'm going to re-read and see what the solution is.
