Actually I was running up to 8* at peak torque, but it tended to knock sporadically, so I took out a degree or two from the map.

I 've been running stock block 2.0l + 272 kelfords + stock evo9 turbo @ 25psi peak tapering to 22 psi and 6-7* at peak torque for 3 years of daily driving + autoXing. I wasn't really worrying about my stock rods as considered my tune to be pretty reliable, as my engine never failed even at competition events.

I never worried until one day I went to dyno and saw some numbers. It made about 450lbs\ft of peak torque on pump gas RON98 (92-93octane probably) at 7* and 470lbs\ft using WMI system at 9-10* at peak torque.

What really wonders me is how he runs 7* at peak torque on 91 octane?
Nice to see some reliability of the stock rods.

My car won't take more than 4* at peak torque without knocking. But it's car and fuel dependant.

What's happening to midrange timing ? You can't get it higher? It's really mild at 315 load until 6000RPM.
It's an odd map, timing numbers that make sense are starting at 7000RPM.

This should have fixed everything....

Last impressions?

Btw, thanks for the feedback! I'd not be too happy if It shot a rod out haha.

Much better!

Try my smoothing tool to solve some minor rollercoaster issues: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...t-version.html It's for bigmaps, but with proper copy paste you can use it with small maps. You can use it only to search and find the odd timing numbers.

Mid timing kept low for two reasons ****ty fuel and helps spool up

At 160load I'm at 15psi btw speed density reads a little different in the load I cruise at 50 load. It's all in the map ve calibration

would have ran an 11 if I would have realized 1st and second gear the wgdc was too low and only building 24psi and in 3rd and fourth 30.6 so i round up and say 31

Use 200Load-1750RPM To 300Load-11000RPM (copy paste)

It has made your map smoother in that area while solving the up and down and up timing issues.

Low cruise timing. This leads to bad MPG.
Low tip-in timing. Maybe it spool faster, but that surely isn't snappy.

However it's a nice 91 octane number (443whp).

Low cruise timing. This leads to bad MPG.( I average 19 with 75% freeway)

Different strokes for different folks.. our 91octane won't allow any more mid range timing so I run it leaner and help it spool there at 12-16psi I am at 11.8 afrs I am pretty sure I know our fuel better than you do. Its as bad as CA 91 nevertheless I will be switching to e85 next week now that it is readily available
