Do alit of you tune open loop or closed loop completely for your car? Like use the entire map besudes letting the front o2 take over
Closed loop is only used in vacuum, so it doesn't have any effect on how the car runs on-boost. Some cars (mine is like this) get odd knocksum values at low boost, which doesn't seem to be curable by adjusting timing or fuel. I've made some pretty big timing sweeps with mine and was never able to dial it out completely. It would disappear for 2 pulls then reappear on the third.

Some tune in full-time open loop, but I think most stick to closed loop for vacuum and open loop for boost.

that log was a 1st and second gear pull. in third and fourth I have full spool at 4k
I will post a video for the naysayers
like I said peak load is 315 not 285-290 that was the first log I found in the mass amounts of logs from customer cars

First, we're not "naysayers" or anything like this, we just want to discuss, help, understand, and learn at the same time. That's the purpose of this thread.

Now back to the subject:
That why I told you it's mild in the first place. Something is happening if you can't run more than that. You are running 0* from 4000 to 5500RPM and 1* up to 6krpm. Maybe that's what you specific setup/car wants, but it's new to me.

3rd-4th gear which cells do you hit in that map?

Lol I was just messing with ya ya it is mild but it won't take any more timing. This fuel around here sucks!!!!! If I run even 2* it just starts pulling 1* back anyways so why not just circumvent the ecu retarding timing all together. What most people don't realize is a 7blade hx is a 60+ lb/min turbo and on straight 91octane no meth no additives it just limits you pretty bad. And the logs I have been looking at today show a target of 2* actual 2* and climbing from there. It makes good power on 91 but it is being switched to a more stable fuel this week

Map you posted:
Peak boost(30.6psi now) =310 load
At 5k it is down to 295
By redline(8000rpm) 260 load

There was a 2count which took 1* at 6900 but a subsequent run showed no knock someone earlier asked what cams I have and I have comp 280's with Gsc beehives. I am looking to upgrade my cams to either Gsc s2 274/274 or kelford hi lift 280/276

I'd say it's still full boost at 5.5krpm. Either it's not a 3rd gear run like in your video, or you aren't going WOT at low RPM enough to hit the 4k to 5.5k cells at full boost (the oddly low timing cells)

i am going wot at 5k on the freeway after scanning for the mexican federales that particular log is one I remember well. I was having some transitional knock that day that I was trying to figure out. Had to adjust the map ve settigns under boost I was like 18-20 psi would=170-180 load and I was dipping too far into timing advance. so ya its not perfect but it has ran a best of 11.89@121 so it must be making good power on 91octane

Have a 25g and having some trouble. Peak load and biost should be around 4* right at max, then slowly climb. It seems when im at high rpm it the cel flashes rapidly for knock sometimes you can feel it sluggish because if comp pulling timing

So i guess the question is what should your peak rpm where you get full boost in timing, and where should you end at?

Im at 4* and ending at 12* 93 octane

It really depends on your setup and the car. Some cars like more timing, some like less. Most people forget that your afr will affect how much timing you can run. My philosophy on tuning is give it a safe
afr and as much timing as the car will take happily. Do not force it to run certain numbers because you heard or saw that someone else did it.

That has less to do with timing and more to do with afr.
