i used butt clips to wire it all. the wastegate clip is different. maybe i should ground the other side and see what that does. i need to give up til tomorrow...i have a really mad girlfriend because i didn't do anything other than this crap today.

P.S. the car runs a hell of a lot better with the forge valve on than the SSQV VTA

well, you will have the only usdm 8 if you get it working.

I recomend grounding it.

SAS will not work with atmospheric BOV, use recirculating and the best results are with no BOV at all...

 

yeah forge is recirc at least the one i got. its really nice with clicks for every turn while tightening it. as for running no blow off valve it would be nice but not feasable.

I played a little game with my buddy...
I did not tell him when I was driving by, but for him to call me when I did my "ricer" lift off (hehe)...or to let me know when I went by (if he could notice)

about 15 min later I drive by.
Immediately I got the call from him...clear as day in his office lol (which is up a hill and in a modern sound deadend office)

next thing to see if we can make this semi functional or if it is functional. I swear on upshifts it helps...but I need to get the map sensor to log boost...

Sorry guys, I've been up on north Dakota all week for work and haven't had a chance to play with it. I will be home tonight and have all weekend to test various thongs to see if I can get it running.

 

so just an update...still not working. i tested the soliniod...works fine. put a one way check valve in line to the vac cannister and it is holding vacuum really well now. i think i need to order a pin for the ecu its kind of rigged up right now. i'm guessing i will know for sure when its working? it's going to be more than faint sound i would imagine.

I have done some fooling around on my own as well.

Right now it is at the limits of the stock ECU...

for you to get it to work you need to add a whole bunch of negative timing.

if you dont have timing you will maybe get a pop after hard accel and lift off.

Let me see. I have a set of valve and piping and was saving it for a good friend. If he is going to be some time, then it is all yours.

 

the maps aren't coming up on my laptop or my pc. let me know about the pin. i might go out and add some - timming just to see. hell it might be working and i don't even know it if its not going to make much noise with just the air.

 

i also have another set of valve and piping too. the valve is off an evo 5-6 though. i might use it when i switch to the short route uicp. the hose peice is on top instead of underneith

I had some issues with my car a couple weeks ago...went into the alternate map (no negative timing)

only after hard accel and lift off I would get just a one bang...

reset ECU, negative timing=to what you see on the video.

if the timing is not adjusted, you will have no ALS
