After some reading, I have determined that if you are using the Evo VII/VIII RA ROM, then the way get the the SAS solenoid to work properly is simply to disconnect the plug from the EGR solenoid and plug it into the SAS solenoid. If you did something different from that, then put whatever you did back to stock and move the plug.

you can get it to work.
I will take a picture of my sensor setup. If you copy it you should be fine.
what is your ROM id?
my ROM id is 94170008. my it's as simple as needing a pin. my stock ROM doesn't like not having the EGR solinoid disconnected so for now everything is back to stock wiring. will mess with it when i have more time.
well i will be the first to tell you guys that i'm not even close to good with the ECU stuff. i get the very basics and thats about it. i have no doubt that most of you guys out there would have it running no problem. i'm going to play with it for a little while longer to see what happens.
well still no headway on this issue. i do have a few days off so i think i will mess with it for a bit. my buddy is going to help me out. we are going to put an LED in line to see if the ECU is doing its part. we are also going to put a boost gauge on the valve so we will be able to see exactly what is not working about the setup.
good luck.
if you have it all installed, just need to get the ECU to recognize the pin. Just keep on working with boosted rs. He can make it work.
if you are going to do the LED thing and the maps are working...I dont know how you propose about doing that. But i would suggest lowing the minimum speed to activate als to 0kph. that way you can do it with the car stationary...
too bad it has taken this long.

so i ended up hooking up an LED to the ECU wire that i ran seperatly to the soleniod (my buddy does car stereos so he helped me with that). after that i knew the ECU part of it was working so then i worked on getting a better vacuum source. i put a one way check valve on the cannister. after all that it work very well with the 90550001 ROM. with - timing it is really loud. just air you hear every once in a while. i will work on getting some vids when i get a chance.
ah so your valve wasnt opening. yea that would do it lol.
you are using the stock usdm 90550001 rom? You didnt need any tuning to turn it on?
congrats, I am sure you are stoked after that ordeal.

How much boost is it making between shifts? That is the only part that matters. Are the injectors being over run? Woo hoo pops and bangs. I can get that just by putting -10 in the low load area of the timing map but it doesn't give me any boost. Dont get me wrong Im not *****ing. I'm happy that it has come this far. I don't know any computer programing language so I have to depend on the guys on this forum. I'm always willing to donate to the cause. I just dont see the point of putting my anti-lag hardware on if it doesn't function.
