Install update.

Last night we were working late to try to get the piping and valve mounted...ended in failure.
After a quick fit this morning and looking exhaustively at SAS setups, I was confident I could mount my hardware...

Learned a lesson about SAS.

Evo 7 SAS systems will not cleanly/completely mount to an evo 9.
my piping and valve will only work with the 03 evo 8s as those cars possess the mounting point on the intake side of the head and possess no cam position sensors.
I got mine mounted, but did not install the IC piping or try the wiring...it was just to jacked up and did not fit cleanly. intake cam position sensor blocked any mounting

Therefore I need a different set to continue on the sickness...
I need an SAS system off of an evo 9 or off of a 8 that possess the intake cam position sensor.

sigh...this sucks...lol

I am sure I can. I know a guy in Greece and another in Austria. Thanks for the part number pic. Did you happen to see a part number on the vaccum canister? The only thing Mercedes has that is close to that canister is at least four times the size.

Found an evo 9 setup today...so I am way stoked. hopefully I can get it in in soon.

Oh and found out a couple tidbits, that I thought to share.

the valve has been the same since evo 3, however the setup is different...looking at the piping on the 5 and 6...really there is little difference if any.

Evo wagon-->as far as I can tell from the intake manifold etc...has no SAS...thought that was interesting.

I have one. the valve would need extra fabrication if you are putting it on a 9.

But I only have valve and pipe. Everything else I will be using.

if you have an 03/04 it might be ok.

dependin on how the new setup installs...I might want to keep it to put on a buddies car

Me too...this will be going on a DSM so I'm not too particular on the specifics, but the valve and pipes would be helpful.

I have full setup for SAS, which might sell...
Kit includes:
manifold in very good condition, no cracks
2 banjo bolts
SAS piping x2(1 for Evo 7-9, 1 for Evo 4-6)
SAS valve x2 (1 for Evo 7-9, 1 for Evo 4-6)
rubber hose with a pair of clamps (to connect IC pipe & SAS valve)
JDM IC pipe for SAS system
SAS solenoid
SAS canister
gasket x2 (for SAS valve)

All parts are OEM, and very hard to get(solenoid & canister), paid a lot of for them...
Later I'll give photos

Hey Dolphin

is the valve off a 7 8 or 9?

each variation the valve is different.

the pics above show whatever I can do to put a 7 valve on a 9.

I think a 7 will fit on an 8 but definetly not a 9.
good deal though for sure.

the 6 valve might fit on a 7 as well...so it might fit on an 8...but it is uncharted territory,

good deal. it cost me over 350 to get the manifold and piping..solenoid over here just to find out it dosnt fit on my 9. (new valve on the way)

I can assure, that it fits USDM Evo 8, not sure about 9...
for all stuff I have, I would like to get ~200$, as I live in Europe and I paid hundreds of $$$ just to collect all parts from Japan and UK, paid big import taxes...
