Thanks to tephra. This should be the BCS On/Off Coolant temp map for 94170715 V7. From my logging, it seems the #2 is used in normal condition.

<table name="BCS On/Off Coolant Temp #1" category="Global Boost Control Settings" address="2b4c" type="1D" level="2" scaling="Temp"/>

<table name="BCS On/Off Coolant Temp #2 (Main)" category="Global Boost Control Settings" address="2b4e" type="1D" level="2" scaling="Temp"/>

^ AWESOME find.

It looks like there is a lot of tables that are differently done in 9417 vs the newer ones. I wonder why mitsu went to make the newer ones so much more complicated.

It's the evolution of the ECU software development.

AFAIK 94170015 doesn't have max wgdc vs coolant temp..
Cool beans Tephra....I will delete it from my xml.
Ok, so I am assuming this means that the table I listed is of no use, and should be deleted?

Thanks to tephra. This should be the BCS On/Off Coolant temp map for 94170715 V7. From my logging, it seems the #2 is used in normal condition.
So this would be the tables that replace the WGDC Vs. Coolant, if needed?
Also, how do these tables relate to the BCS ReAct/DeAct RPM table, and the WGDC=100% under this load table? Which one is priority? I just see some tuning fun here.

Thanks again guys.

thx
For those who are interested in mirgrating to 94170715 V7 rom.

I am not sure whether Tephra MOD V7 main page has the updated rom, but you can download it there, and just make sure to check this "gear dependent boost control fix" according to tephra's post:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/8176872-post72.html

One thing to be also careful is when you use psi-based boost control, make sure that "Boost desired engine PSI" table uses 8 bit scaling (for example, PSIa8 OMNI4barMAP), and "Boost Adder" table uses 16 bit scaling (for example, PSIa16 OMNI4barMAP).

As for the updated XML, Paul (Appauldd) put lots of efforts to this work, and you can find his updated XML from his post:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...4170015-a.html

Hope this helps.

I will update the WIKI with the latest changes as well. Look for the 94170715 xml to be on there.

Yes, the old table is wrong.

This new table only depends on the coolant temp, and it seems this overrides all other BCS control tables.

So until it reaches the threshold coolant temp, WGDC remains 0 at all conditions. (rpm & load)

I changed mine from 55 Celsius to 75 Celsius, I will log it to see if it works as we think.

So my max boost would be near 11 psi (stock wastegate actuator limited boost) until my engine is fully warmed up, although I usually remain off-boost when engine is cold.

*nod*, I keep to the same. I am seeing this in my logs, per other discussion, the changing of WG at a given temp, or going full 100% per the Load table as discussed. It does seem that these two tables are doing the same thing though, or set around safety... what is the reasoning for having wgdc set to 100% under a certain load?

This is from tephra's MOD V7 main page:

100% WGDEC under a certain load
- Keeps BCS from openning wastegate under a certain load (to aid in spool up)

This is true, and one more thing I like about this is that it keeps my GM 3-port quiet at low engine load & rpm.

Just noticed a few sets of tables use the same addresses. Was this already known? If so, disregard this post.

Is 0x8425 still the proper address to log to see what map the ecu is using?

I am logging it and I am getting 3 which signifies that the ecu is using alt maps, however I have alt maps disabled. The option in the Tephramod section is set to 0.

Anyone else try this and have it logging correctly?

with the addition of BIGMAP the map locaitons have changed somewhat...

it's probably 3 = normal, 4 = altmap now
