I don't know if it'd be an adverse effect for using "used" ones, but I just went ahead and bought new ones, since my shop held them. This should do the trick, and everything should work out.

And yes, I was looking into that fuel pump also. Seems pretty nice and I mean for the power level that I want that might be better, but I know in the long run I'll be building my motor, so mind as well just save money in the long run and buy a double pumper for now. But we will see though.

I think I'm first one in the world that broked an EF4 turbo ...

my mechanic tried to tune my car then the first run he blows my engine with tons of knocks then I made sure that he doesnt know how to tune ..so the turbo got a small pieces from the engine and the fan + turbine exhaust have broken ........
I'm sooooooooooo sad for all what he has done ....
Sorry to hear that man I hope you can get everything resolved with your local tuner/shop, and be up and running soon.

The first mistake you made was to have your "mechanic" take on "tuning" duties. Usually, it is the other way around when your "tuner" can also do "mechanic" duties. Anyone can be a mechanica but not everyone has the skill set required to be a tuner. Sad...? I would be pissed if I spent over $2K for a turbo that was destroyed before I could even enjoy it.

I plan to see how is safely possible with the DW300 fuel pump and FIC 1450s on E85 when I return from Afghanistan.

Yeah defenietly. Hopefully when I go for my retune just the walbro and 1100cc on E85. But if not I'll just go ahead and put in the double pumpers.

I think those 1100cc will be a bit small for the EF3 on E85.

Standard ARP studs are TTY (torque to yield) which means they are designed to be torqued once, you should not reuse them. The freeze plugs are just an OEM part.

Agreed, you will definitely need more fuel for the EF3. The Full Blown 340lph pump and FIC 1450 injectors seems like a winning combo.

Good news for you boys with your EF3s , today i made the swap to FIC 1450s and E85. Still on the Walbro.

I wont post a chart yet as its not fully tuned But at 26-27PSI i made 474WHP 404 TRQ this was with 3~ gallons of 93 in the tank and on our winter mix of E70

Just for one pull i let it breathe a little with a spike to 30PSI and made 497WHP

I have not adjusted top end timing yet only fuel and spool area timing.

In case you all forgot this is STILL on the stock block

Im not getting too excitied yet as im unsure how much more the single walbro can support.

Heres a teaser for ya

Before and after at 26-27psi

The red is the tune ran at Blackhawks high speed autox last weekend which the car took the track record for street tires with, its the 'safe' low boost tune and could be ran on 92 octane with no knock .

Blue is from today at Same boost 27 falling to 26 , with no additional 5500+ RPM timing.

Me and andy had one log at 30PSI that was at 497WHP , also with no additional up top timing.
Im pretty sure based on my educated guess that 540 will be doable but i dunno if im going to push it that hard. Still on a stock block.. HA

Like i said before this is very unfinished but provides a glimpse of what the car is capable of on E85.

FWIW my previous best on 93 at 31-32 LBS boost was 47X

If anyone is wondering i had a full tank of gas a sub system in the trunk and a 150 pound passenger plus myself at 200.

Thank you for the tips, my friend. As I was walking in to work this morning, I had the thought of "do things righ the first time" as it applied to my EVO.

I would be interested to see when the torque starts to fall off. I have always believed that the EF3 was capable of higher whp and it is good to see that I was right. If I can achieve 500whp and 400wtq when I am finished, I would be more than pleased with my purchase. MAP FTW.
