Yeah your going from a stock restrictive one to a full size 3 inch so yeah its gonna make power. But what I was tring to say maybe I was thinking of maybe my own setup where I already have a 3 inch o2 housing and for me to go to that really not gonna change that much for me. Yeah your spool will go up but like I said from someone who already has 3" not gonna matter much with the setup.

I'm planning to run a MAP external dump on my EF3 setup. Got a quote from MAP last week for an O2 dump and a 3" intake for my EF3. Hopefully installing soon, then STM for dyno-tuning.

I'm still looking for additional EF2 EVO9 owners with stock cams. I'd like to trade some EVOSCAN logs to compare spool and VD info. Too many pages to sort through but if you fit the description please hit me up via PM.

If you are protective of your tune I'm happy to send my info to you for comparison.

Just curious what made you choose the EF2.5?

Well I wanted a turbo that will spool quick enough for daily driving enjoyability but can still make good power on pump gas and e-85. I was going to go with the ef2 but the 2.5 will give me a little more room in the event that I want to upgrade my valve train and get cams in the future.

the EF3 spools a lot quicker than I thought it would, but it's pretty much what I was looking for in a turbo. When you take off from a light and give it enough gas to keep up with traffic you're sitting right at 0 psi where my stock IX turbo would already be making like 10psi or more, so rolling into full throttle at that point wasn't very exciting... but it is with the EF3

I love the way the anti-surge housing sounds while in low-rpm vacuum, it honestly sounds like a jet engine spooling up, no lie. I need to try and get a video because it sounds awesome.

Sounds awesome man. A friend of mine just got his ef3 but is waiting to install it worth some other parts. I'm excited to see how my ef2.5 will compare to his ef3

Your setup is actually what made me choose the 2.5. I have the same mods except for the manifold and cams. The power you got out if the 2.5 is GREAT! Can't wait fir mine to get back from MAP I'll be on a dual tune, 93 for daily driving and e85 on kill mode lol

Glad I could help sway your opinion

Also are you on stock mivec cams? If so leave them in and the manifold and see what this badboy can make and see how well it'll spool. My tuner runs a green on his stock cams and makes 460/450. Full spool (33psi) at like 3600

Yeah I don't plan on upgrading my manifold or cams for a while. Ill try to get a dyno graph once I get it tuned hen it comes back from MAP
