I personally think the power didn't bend the rods, more so the misfires that occurred at the 2012 shootout, but maybe it was the power, since the HG never lifted or pushed a drop of coolant and the vehicle always had regular ARP headstuds.

I think the stock motor would still be alive if I had a stronger CDI ignition on the car back then.
Another cool fact is that it holds the highest stock block power numbers on Buschur's mustang dyno (631/485).
