I keep reading about how everyone says that Curt Brown says this thing spools like stock and is the perfect street turbo. You can't compare this turbo on his car to a typical EVO with basic bolt ons. I dont know the list of his mods and I may get flamed for this post but I thought I read a long while back he had a 2.1L stroker and a fully built motor with head work and all the goodies that will help air flow and therefore spool. I also read this turbo will have 500rmp of lag over the current 20G-9-5, not over the stock 16G. I think the hype is waayyyy too big now for only 2 of these things in existance and 40 on the way. The real test will be when real world customers get them and start running at the track on 93 octane only. I would think people in the market for a turbo like this are the kind of guys who did all the basic bolt-ons and cams and need more but dont want the lag or price tag of a 30R or 35R. Is 400whp on 93 octane by 4k rpm too much to ask? Maybe the 50 trim is for me. I just would like to stay with BR and not have to go to AMS or TT for such a set up. There needs to be something between the stocker and 3065. Maybe this turbo will prove to be it but until some "real world" EVOs bolt them on we wont know. Just my humble opinion....

Yes, I Know that, but apparently ATRAX insists otherwise. Thats why I said, if he did "somehow"

Then get the RRE GT3076R kit. The stock heatshield attaches to the HAFE ehaust manifold.

Then I guess Rob must have been drunk when he told me that it was a 50 trim wheel. Why hasn't Dave told me I'm full of it yet is my question? Again the specs are much less believable and less exciting if it is in fact a 20g wheel. And you are setting yourself up for a big disappointment if you think this turbo is going to perform as well as a BB 50 trim. The 20g-9 was a good turbo because it still had decent spool. Add another "500rpm of lag" and you may as well get a 50lb/min supporting 500whp 50 trim.

I do know FP is coming out with a green evo turbo soon. Who knows what magic they might do to it though.

FP actually said it was going to be a 50trim wheel? That goes along with their "green" hybrid design. But why would DB call it a 20G-9-5-LT then if it wasnt reusing the 20G wheel? Maybe there are two turbos in the pipe.

Im just waiting for David B. to confirm. He said previously it was something else, thats all. Now you say its this... when he comes back and says, he was making it up that its a 20G CW and whatnot, Ill believe it.

i don't think anyone said this turbo is the equivalent of a 50 trim in terms of power and results....in fact, everyone's noted the "hype" has put this turbo, in terms of performance, slightly under the 50 trim....which are still excellent numbers, esp for a bolt-on.

but again, this is all speculation....so nobody but db has any real clue what they're talking about....i agree with that someone previously said, subscribe to this thread and only be updated when dave posts...
