I'm still not so sure we'll be running in the Stock Appearing Class. I just want to run for the fun of it. The car is what it is without winning anything. Innovations, power and the fun we've had doing it are nearly enough for me. Now Tony, that's another story. He likes to win, I'd rather just have fun with no pressure. Winning isn't everything at this point, at least to me.

If I can make a little over 400 on the BR dyno with this on pump I think I'll be happy.

Worst comes to worst I am sure race fuel tune + the red would put me in the 10s

Yeah, Trent's already doing that much on pump with this turbo and that's UNPORTED.

Damn 60 lbs/min out of a stock appearing turbo!?!? This is a tad unreal, I mean seriously! This is nice to see the max effort that can be put out by this beast but honestly I'm more interested to see what it does on a VIII with HKS 280's, alky, and ported everything (i.e. my car )...maybe around 28psi or so

So, judging by the 3 turbos side-by-side it looks like the Red might use the same hotside as the green, but that later pic closer up the hotside looks bigger on the red. Can somone clarify?

Dave, what are trent's impressions of this turbo on the street? 9sec9, I look forward to your comments on this too. I know the white is being raved about right now, and the green has always ben touted as the 'perfect' combination for the street, but now with the red, I'm wondering if this is a happy middle ground inbetween the green and the hta35R...the holy grail, if you will.

also 9sec9 or buschur, will you be offering these $100 ( ) port jobs on these to the general public?

Hi scheides. They all use the IX housing. The difference is the machining to fit the larger turbine wheels and/or compressor wheels. The White has stock turbine (so nothing different anywhere there), but has a larger HTA compressor, which of course required machining. The Green is also stock IX housing, machined to fit the larger turbine and also machined to fit the larger compressor wheel. Now, the RED is also machined for an even larger turbine and an even larger HTA compressor wheel. Just think of it in terms of wheels, since the housings all start the same.

White is right about the same OD as the 1580 (68mm) with a slightly larger inducer.

Red has a brand new turbine wheel with a unique feature and a 76mm HTA comp wheel .

Heh yup! I understand they are the same to begin with, I just wondered if the green and red shared the same size turbine wheel and thus hotsides...but apparently not!

Damn you guys! I need to do suspension on my car before getting one of these things. Still looking forward to reviews from the street

Just a few last pics taken today just before breaking the sound barrier. This is the setup with the FP-RED. Notice the new looking exhaust manifold. No more heat wrap.
