making 400 on stockie turbo is pretty hard with out higher oct like e85 or meth to be honest. answers in bold. You should consider adding a 3" downpipe and testpipe. Guages aem wideband or innovate wideband Aem boost guage. Aem oil pressure(for use later with bigger turbo)

ok thanks. i have the AEM wideband. i was thinking a fp green later on down the road. isnt the ams tbe 3in? thats what i was told. i want to get rid of the hks bov. it was on when i bought it with some crappy part of an upper intercooler pipe. so i bought the stock bov and cant put it on. was thinking the aps since i saw good things about it on this site. i might just go with the ets uicp. i have the perrin 4.5" foam filter. and the fmic is 3.6". ill also look into different cams like the kelford 272s. and the perrin stage 3 off the shelf map is what i have for my parts that are currently on my car.

So I recently purchased an 05 evolution 8. I'm looking into taking my car to synaptic 3 in Candia, NH and getting it tuned. Here are my current mods.

- HKS carbon ti catback
-Megan Racing resonated test pipe
-Injen intake
-Injen upper intercooler piping
- Brian Crower 272 cams
-Megan racing downpipe
-Walbro fuel pump
-Evo 9 blow off valve
- Shep racing rebuilt tranny
- ACT clutch and I'm not sure what kind of lightweight flywheel

I'm looking to make around 330whp and was wondering what I would currently make with a tune and if I won't with this current setup what I will need. Also is it necessary for me to get a electronic or manual boost controller to up my boost for a tune? I read that the stock ecu can control boost fine and that a controller was not needed. Thanks, Braden

330 should be no problem. just make sure it has no boost leaks and everything is ready to roll and you should make over 330 with a good tuner onboard.

if you dont change the pill in the factory bcs it sucks from what i understand. i just use a hallman pro myself, but ebc's definitely have the advantages with all the fail safes in the new tephra rom's.

MY boost gauge reads the 20.3 psi stock I don't know if that means I'm all set on boost leaks. Also are my stock injectors fine? I was looking into getting a hallman boost controller with the hallman in car controller because of how inexpensive it is. How is your hallman? Do you recommend it. Also is it worth getting the hallman pro rx over the regular pro? Thanks, Braden.

i love hallman mbc's. mines in-car and i have it sticking out of the cigg lighter hole so its stealth.. just a idea for you maybe to copy. the pro rx if i remember correctly is more for those who want to have super precise accuracy by turning the knob and adjusting by as little as half pound incriments in boost, it has a ceramic ball... keep in mind its also not going to hold as much boost as the pro with the heavier ball tho. just get the pro you should be fine.

hard to say. youll hit over 400whp easily though. depends on how good the tuner is most definitely.

We usually see 430's awhp on average with 93 and FP Reds and a few freaks did 450's

Had a goal last month to hit 400hp on a mustang dyno, I wasn't even close. I hit 343hp at 27psi on 93oct. Now added a 3.5 FMIC and replaced high flow cat with a test pipe. Going to CBRD this weekend for a tune. Any guesses what it should do on a mustang dyno? Running 93 octane again. Hopefully much better results.

Stock Block
84MM Ported FP Red
BR TBE no cat
BR MBC
BR Air Filter Kit w/FP Intake Pipe
BR 3.5" FMIC
Megan O2 housing
BR Ported Ex Mani, Intake Mani, TB
Walbro 255
PTE 1000CC injectors
HKS 272i/272e
Exedy Twin HD
ARP Headstuds

mustangs are stingy, that setup would do 430 in DLL and maybe a little more on a dynojet. mid to upper 300's most likely.

400 on a mustang are tough to get with fpred and pump gas. Even with larger fmic and testpipe, u should net around 350 on mustang.
