Also - Cusco makes a FSB adjustment bracket that replaces the bracket that bolts to the lower front control arm. It has 4 holes to add or subtract effective spring rate to your FSB. It works!

For those who went with the TRE 12-plate, how many got the HD Side Cover? This is like $265 on its own compared to $465 for the diff service. Wondering if it's worth it.

This is where I bought it, but there are a few others that carry it as well.

I got the HD side cover and sight window with mine. Jon highly recommended the HD cover if the car will be launched. I originally did not want to pay the extra for it, but Jon talked me into it - he's good at that, trust me .

I had the Cusco but I got TRE's HD side cover as well. More like a preventative care mod for me to protect my investment. Well worth the peace of mind IMO

Without it you have no protection from spinning the bearing, which is the main benefit of getting the HD side cover at the time you do the other mods... Why risk trashing your new parts by using your already used and known risky flexy OEM side cover....?

Street tires are one thing. But what about those of us running 285 hoosiers? On grippy concrete the car is very pushy on corner exit.

Any advantage in going with an aftermarket diff like cusco, OS Giken or Carbonetics over the TRE upgrade?

Not sure I understand your question. The clicking sound has more to do with the type of diff oil you use than its "tight[ness]". TRE recommends the factory Diaqueen or Redline 80w140 GL-5 to keep things quiet. Redline 80w140 NS can be used for more lock, but also with more noise. I have not used the "NS" oil in my EVO, but others here have. I used it in my M3 and it did increase lock and noise. Hope that helps.
