if your punishing the car hard on an FP i would reccomend AMO 10W40 or Dominator racin oil 10w30
For stock turbo or the FP not being pushed hard SSO 0W30 or ATM 10W30.

so considering, Im looking to purchase an FP turbo, FP recommends to use BP 20w50, and and the consensus is AO 10w40 will do the job. So which is "ideal/best" for daily duties and stock motor. I would think BP since FP recommends it, right?

look back in this thread and look for specs on AMO 10W40 and specs on the 20W50 and compare both,, i think your questions has been answered many times.

one fast pointer, AMO is on the high end of synthetics, group 4 synthetic fully 100% synthetic

So in helping to narrow the choice down between the Dominator 10w-30 and the standard AMSoil 10w-40, what sort of change interval are you recommending on the Dominator to be alright with the lower detergent level? I used the Dom 10w-30 on my X with all the standard bolt-ons and I was very happy with it. No oil burn off and a 5k change interval. Any advice would be appreciated.

Does it meet the requirements we have been speaking about to run a FP Red or Black?

Which oil the RD oils,,, heck yeah it does, this oil is loaded with Zinc and Phos, its a racing oil its got over 1300 PPM of ZDDP. if there is any oil thats concidered a race oil that would be RD Racing Dominator.

I would have you run RD 10W30 as a second choice and drain at a sooner interval, AMO 10W40 as choice number 1.

AMO's 10W40 ZDDP package is subtantially higher than mobil and many other oils, and still the AMO has the right amount of detergents to make it a good race track oil and daily driver choice.

Are you racing the car ?
how much power do you put down ?
how is the car driven, spirited , hard ?
