The website is actual, the difference between stage 1 and stage 2 are just way off. The 343 HP at the end of stage 2 is correct.

I am going to try and get on that. Anyone here happen to have a dyno sheet of our stage 1 with Al's tuning on it? I could use that sheet for a more accurate measure and less of a difference.

As far as the special things we do to the 4g63 from the EVO. This engine is basically the same as the 2nd generation DSM engine. We are using the same machining and building techinques we always have. Getting the machine work right is the hardest part of building a 4g63. If all the machining is dead on assembly is pretty straight forward.

Just a quick tip of the hat to Dave. Thanks for shipping your COP ignition for my dsm so Quickly. Tym was very helpful, processed my order and helped with the wire code questions brilliantly. Dave your stuff is just built like bullet proof polished art work. Amazing quality and attention to detail.

I knew he was getting the same reflash system we have for some time. They always jump to what ever is hot at the moment. Funny how he was bashing reflashes only a few months ago and saying the Exede is the only way to go and now he is basically offering the same exact product. Just like he did when he used to insult Cobb and the unichip and then only a few weeks later he was selling them himslef.

only significant difference on our reflash I can see is the fact that they are once again offering a knock sensor correction which I think is a super bad idea

The knock sensor function is a very good protective feature for street driven cars and should not be altered in any way

Your complete lack of understanding of what you and others are doing as well as your disrespect for the truth is overwhelming. I'm speechless.

Anyway, that page will be updated with some more interesting info (design parameters, testing methods, etc) later today. I'm sure you'll find a few new tidbits of info to confuse yourself with

"Power loss (through heatsoak and knock sensor activity due to the sustained loading) rose from a troubling 30% to a nice 10% which was our goal." Shiv

Funny how we can make a boat load of extra low end grunt with out base reflash and also get massive top end gains while the great Shiv actually looses low end power on his reflash - - very odd

Well Al,

Again you wrong and because the cat is out of the bag, Xflash as many more technical features then your system. The reason it took so long to release Vishnu's reflash is because they were braking code to add in tuning features that you don't have access with your tech tom unit.

I have never seen Vishnu bash re-flashes. Just you doing re-flashes.

and as far as the uni-chip goes. People have the right to change their minds. Like you did!!!! As I can see you are now offering maps via mail that you swore never to do.

Only dyno tuning is safe not sending tuning maps via mail is what you said many times.

Enjoy your day.

And I still can’t believe even on a dyno jet you can't make smooth power or A/Fs.

Basically - i have access to the entire stock ecu codes. What I choose to change and NOT change is a differnt subject. You will NEVER see me alter the knock sensor corrections.

As far as through the mail tuning - I said that it is NOT as good as a custom reflash and that the results were so compromised that I could not charge significant fees for a through the mail flash as it would need to be de-tuned to a significant degree. Please see the quote below on my sig line for further info on this subject.

I think my $225.00 through the mail flash - on sale for $199.99 shipped throug the hoildays does offer a good value

So far the only dyno sheet that Vishnu has posted up on his system looks weaker than my weakest dyno sheet ever. I am greatly suprized he has not figured out the tricks to raise the low end power and spool up.

In any event - the fact that Vishnu is now selling re-flashes is a good sign and I am 100% confident that onec they learn how to tune the reflashes like I can that they will be making MORE and SMOOTHER power with their reflashed cars than with the Exede equiped ones

First - there is a timed delay after which the ecu starts to activate the boost solinoid and reducing the boost - the stock setting is 2.8 secs - - we raise this to 10 mins which effectively eliminates this asepct of boost taper as you will never be on boost for 10 mins straight. This does not raise the peak boost it merely reduces boost taper
Again, you confuse yourself and illustrate your level of understanding. The above quote is from a post you made today on this thread:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...threadid=53474

First off, let me explain the difference between HEXIDECIMAL and the normal DECIMAL based numbers most of us are used to dealing with. In hexidecimal, instead of counting in 0-9, one counts in 0-9, followed by the letters A through F. This means that there are 16 numbers to play with instead of the usual 10 we deal with in normal thought.

Also, as I hope you are aware of (but probably aren't judging by all your posts you've ever made on this subject), the EVO code is written in hexidecimal. That's why there are all those silly letters in there. This means that if you see the value "32" in a map, it stands for 50 (3x16+2), not 32.

Along that same line of thought, the raw value which represents Boost Delay, as you know, is "28". "28" translates to 40 (2X16+8), not 2.8, okay? Also, in Mitsubishi ECU-speak, the time units don't represent 1 seconds units, or even 1 milliseconds units. They represent 2.5ms units. So 40 x 2.5 = 100ms, or .1 second. But don't worry, you're only 2.7 seconds off

Ah.. I feel much better now. I used to cringe everytime you talked about ECU code on this forum, knowing darn well that you had no idea what you were talking about.

Cheers,
shiv

Ummm ... don't pick. 100ms is actually 1 tenth of a second.
If you're gonna bust somebody, check the math ...

Oh yes they have to get to your level of tuning reflashes.

Al has bin tuning customer cars for 4 months.

Shiv has bin tuning customer cars for over 11 years.

Yep they have alot of catch up to do. YA RIGHT!!!

Don't hurt your self Alfriedeggs!!
