I have an EFR 8374 0.83 internal wastegate single scroll. Seems like the hotside is maxed out at about 680-700 hp@hubs at my Dynapack.
I could have switched to a bigger hotside, but then I have to make a new manifold for the T4 flange and external wastegates...
Would like to keep my manifold, so I am thinking to upgrade to 9180 with 0.83 internal wastegate as I believe the 9180 have the same footprint as the 8374.

How much more hp to expect from the 9180 due the bigger 80 mm exhaust wheel vs the 8374 74 mm exhaust wheel I have? (Both with T3 0.83).

Running 2.3 l with Kelford 284 HL.

Thanks
Ben Stian

the 7163 is a newer frame size- with a different Mixed Flow turbine wheel also-

Like a B1.5 frame size? How's the Evo IX kit coming along? I'm excited to see results.

Everything I've read is that its a B1 hotside housing. CHRA is aluminum though. The big difference on the hotside is the wheel.

Would it be possible to use the 7163 compressor wheel and housing with the turbine wheel and shaft from the 7064, inside a 1.05 A/R T4 Twin Scroll (External WG) B1 turbine housing from the 7064?

I want mixed flow T4 twin scroll with external waste gates.

The mixed flow is the turbine wheel. The comp wheel may have a special cut to work best with it though. It would be nice to see a larger A/R for the TS housing, but I still think the better answer is scaling up the MFT to a larger turbo. I have a hard time believing that the aerodynamics are not beneficial in a slightly larger geometry.

Sent an email to Geoff@Full-Race with my question and he meant about 100-120 hp on top. Thanks to Geoff for the quick reply and excellent customer service

These are probably the furtherest turbo from a stock-frame geometry.

Haha!!! Is furtherest actually a word? :P

I picked up a 9.5:1 Manley 2.3L stroker kit with turbo tuff rods so will have a build coming up soon. Im chasing epic response and as much down low torque and power as possible not interested in peak power at all. Shooting for the quickest point to point car possible so to sum it up I'm looking for near stock 9 turbo response with a whole lot more everywhere.
Will be running Mivec with plans to basically refresh the head and "clean up" any dodgy castings etc and use my current cams which are cosworth M2's.
Can anyone give me any tips or advice to optimize my setup to meet above requirements?

I wanted to use the iwg. I like the "sleeper" setup. I ran open dump for 2+years and wanted to be quiet it again. Going to change to a two port wga and run a 4 port ebc when I build the block.

what are your impressions? that seems good in theory but can not read the graph of your dyno clearly. does your tuner like it, was it worth the hype for you

@mick_O it sounds like you would like the mixed flow EFR7163 turbo. divided twin scroll fullrace makes it in bottom mount

or you can do like Fritz and top mount the 7670, but that is laggier than stock evo 9 turbos
