Most of the time the oil pressure from the OFH is too high even for journal bearing turbo's. You really don't need more than 60-70 psi for any journal bearing. Running at OFH you can see pressure up to 100 psi at WOT. I generally use. 070-.090" for journal bearing turbo's.

Do you use a filter as in the FP kit? Was wondering if the filter really necessary since I plan to tap into the bung that is after the oil leaves the filter

Link isn't working for me, I can't seem to find the correct one on their site either. You are running from the oil filter housing or the actual oil pump?

Ok cool that looks like it. Did it come with a plug for the stock oil line hole in the head? if not where did you get one from?

I just bought a flange bolt at ACE hardware with the same thread pitch and reused the gasket, just make sure the bolt is not too long.

My 25g and install kit came in. Both good looking pieces and packaged very well.
Right now I have the hks twin power installed. Do you guys think it is over kill to install my switzer cdi cop system for only about 440hp? or should I sell it and use the money else where. Any of you guys pushing up around 500hp have any break up issues?

I'm at 510 on pump right now with no break up issues, but i will be switching to a cop kit when i go higher boost. I suggest you keep it, it's never a bad idea to have it.

Ok, here's my observation so far.
I have the billet 25g with 10.5 housing and billet wga.

Got it installed today in place of my ATP30R kit. Everything fit really well except for the J pipe don't match up perfectly. The outlet on the compressor can be port matched to it though. There is quality in every part of this kit. The banjo bolts and lines are really strong. The billet wga has a non-breathable diaphram so my MBC won't work on it. Maybe I can poke some pinholes in it or use a vent style MBC.

The turbo spools about 3.9-4k and makes really good tq below 3k (compared to 30r). My old tq peak was right @6k and now feels lower about 5.5k I'm only at 20psi for now, going to turn it up to about 30psi.

The only way to make it surge is to floor it @3k in 5th gear. The transient response sucks even with NLTS.

I do wish I would have went with the 11.5 housing. With the response of this turbo I think the extra flow would out weigh a little lag.
Overall, I really like it. I love the off-boost tq.

I'll try to turn up the wick and finish the tune tomorrow and see what VD says about it.

Good review. Waiting to hear how it performs with more boost.

Also have to add, the 22psi wga spring only makes 14psi with very little preload. I swapped out to a vented MBC and maxing out the preload now. Looking for 22psi (prob have to order a bigger spring) on the wga for my 91pump tune and 30psi for e85. I really don't want to use 2 MBC.

I ended up stretching the spring and preloading the wga. Now seeing 19-20psi on the wastegate and got it up to 26psi on the controller. VD says 413@6859rpm then the power takes a huge dive to 382 by 7500rpm where it levels out. Needs way more work.

Just ordered this turbo with billet wheel. Wanna run as much boost on 93 as possible. Will the 1.2 bar actuator suffice with a 3 port or do I need to get the 1.5 bar or billet actuator?
