I would definitely get the billet actuator, i had the 1.5 bar and still had to preload the crap out of it for it to work properly.

 

So if get the billet 1.5 actuator I should be good as long as I put a good preload on it? I'm gonna be running 93 only, don't want to have any issues with the wastegate when I take the car to get it tuned. I feel the 1.7 will be too high what do you think? I plan on using a 3 port.

You should be ok with the 1.5 with a good preload on it.

 

When i had the stock 2.0 i saw full boost by 4200rpm, 30 psi.

Which actuator do I want to buy? The evo 9 actuator or td05/td06sl twinscroll 518z?

Turbo arrived today. Nice looking piece. Came with an install kit and already has the billet actuator on it. Ordered an install kit when I bought it so now I have two if somone needs an install kit pm me.

 

Just read this whole thread start to finish and I am a firm believer of budget builds. Inwantbto pick this turbo up. Any new updates on the waste ate issues or is the solve just preload.

 

Can't speak for anybody else but mine got fixed with preload adjustment.

 

After delaying I finally bought:
billet wheel TD06SL2R 25G 11.5T housing w/ anti surge cover, 2.0bar billet wastegate with braided steel line evo install kit...
