You may have to cut some threads off if the rod to allow more preload. Or you can try adding some prongs to the arm.

I'm very interested in picking this turbo up. I'm nervous considering some of the WG issues that I've seen. But it seems that most are having success with it. And with a kid in college I'm all about the budget build

There really isn't an issue. It just requires a lot of pre load.

today took turbo. the gate is closed tight, all is well with turbine.

Only one comment, damaged diaphragm. but, it does not affect for maximum boost(for example, if throw a tube with actuator, stock turbo boost 2+ bar on 3k rpm, my kinugawa not boosted) .
and so, two questions remain open:
1. Why so late? (0.8 bar at 4000 RPM)
2. Why so little? (1.8 bar at 5500 RPM)

any issue? hope for your help. Thank you!

Yep, I know this is for the Evo's but I'm having the same problem. My preload is tightened to the maxiumum allowed thread. So I don't know if it's that anymore. I'm thinking I have a boost leak that's probably my problem. This weekend it will be fixed 100%. No more excuses. I found the guy to work on my car.

What exactly is your issue fast? Dima. Something is def up with your car. Without any vac lines and weak pre load I am hitting 28# around 4300-4500

Sounds like a weak wastegate actuator to me, are you sure you have the stiffest springs in there? when i had the regular 25 psi wg actuator i actually took the nut away and threaded it all the way in, worked great after that.

this is what I expect full boost 2+ bar on 4500 RPM. but, as we can see, the situation is very different from me, i have MAX 1.8 on 5500 RPM, it's so late...

100% sure, because kinugawa sent me set of spring and it's higher. i put 2.0 bar

1. no seal from actuator where arm out
2. preload part shorter(maybe and thread shorter)
3. no nut on nose adapter on actuator
