Yea man it could. I know a couple guys who get full boost with the 11.5cm housing at 5500 on their 2.0. I got full boost a little over 5500 rpm, close to 6000 rpm but that's because I had a poorly built exhaust manifold - no twin scroll effect. I swapped over to the 10.5cm housing and now getting full boost at 5000 rpm. I too thought I had a wastegate issue. Give the swap a go.

yeah, i just got through adding another spring inside the wastegate and adding some more preload. hopefully that does the trick

also this is just wastegate pressure. there is no form of boost control hooked up right now. I took her out tonight and was able to hit 30 on just wastegate pressure. My grimmspeed came in the mail today too. Hope to throw that on and finish up my tune some time this week.

I must have a leak somewhere. I'm replacing my bov with a friends tonight and gonna see if that helps. On wastegate I'm only getting 30

Few updates for the night. My bov is most definitely the culprit. I put my friends greddy type s on to see how it would do with that. he is able to hold 30# with it. He recircs it and upon installation and start up I noticed that it leaks under idle.
It helped me get to 31.6# but i think it is leaking after that. A tial Q is on order

Also, I've been having a cel for code P1021, (intake engine oil control valve) which is mivec. When i installed my manifold i must have forgot to connect it.. wow i know. def a wtf moment.
MIVEC is the ****.

This graph involves no tuning. Just installing the greddy type s and hooking mivec back up. I stopped the pull early because i was afraid that the boost was going to spike too far.

been using and posting for 10 years greddy type S spools turbos faster. gave the tech why. just never catches on. the leak at idle is not an issue. the valve leaks at low boost. this reduces pressure in front of turbo and allows it to spool faster. they dont leak to 32psi. never tested higher.

+1

Doesn't allow surge and vents at small differentials. It's all about piston surface area : diaphragm surface area

Part throttle vents loudly ie boost leak increasing shaft speed and when the tb goes wot and pressure equalizes there's a good amount of inertia that is overcome.

But hey if a blowoff leaks at idle it must be bad

The brake booster powers the greddy. The boost ref is from the sas solenoid so the valve opens on extended overrun.

Ordered the Kinugawa 25g compressor,11.5 hotside and td06 turbine wheel, Kinugawa actuator and 25psi spring. Going to put it together myself to save some money.

It will be going on a 2.0 built block stock head with gsc s2 cams. Also going on the car will be pte 880cc injectors, spoolinup cop, o2 dump, licp, 3" short route uicp, 3.5" intercooler, forge rs bov. Going to run my 103 octane xylene mix, shooting for 30-32 psi.

Already on the car, 3port grimspeed, 4 bar map, 3 inch full exhaust, walbro 255, headstuds, some other stuff.

I really want 450-500whp. We will see..

(edit: also trying out the S90 74mm Throttle Body)

The power is very doable my friend, however, it looks like you will be running out of injectors at that power level, i just finished tuning my friend's 25g on the dyno, very nice results to say the least, i will be posting the video soon.

I just played with one tonight. 34psi is as high as I could get. 450 is doable for sure! I was impressed this turbo performed as well as it did.
