Here in Aus, tuners make sure all tunes are conservative because parts/repairs/labour is all very expensive! I'm considering this and plan on a few bits and pieces to assist (if funds allow ) and so far, my JDM 8 MR is completely stock. The only significant mod is a Walbro 255l/h fuel pump. Everything else is completely stock. Was being convinced by one of the MR owners here to keep it stock but I'm not happy with 160kw (214hp) at the wheels. I don't plan on selling the stock parts when I replace with aftermarket, then again I don't plan on selling the car - ever lol.

Viii driver, can you see this turbo with the 25g billet 11.5 do any damage to a completely stock block? or would it be safe with a 3port that I will be installing and tuning to 22psi (stock turbo)?

Withe the proper mods this turbo has no chance in messing up your stock block my friend, it is also a very good idea to use a 3port, i always recommend it to my local or remote tuning customers. However i do recommend more than 22 psi even on a stock short block.

Well considering the MR has the 10.5 housing and low mileage on the engine, I might stick to the stock turbo until I want to do major upgrades. Eventually will go for 2.4 (maybe longrod) etc. I may hit you up with some tips on tuning when I put in the 3 port and get some US insight

Thanks mate

I have a question. I have a standard Evo 7 with basic mods daily driven but im torn between a 20 or 25g? Which would be the better option as a daily?

I'm pretty sure the 20g will be more than satisfying for a 400whp DD if I'm not mistaken. I'm not familiar with evo's so I can be wrong. However, I know the 25g is a monster in top end power and has a noticable lag.

The restricted banjo bolt came with the kit. It goes with the new feed from the head. I already have it feeding from the oil filte housing it had a normal banjo bolt in the stock turbo. Guess I'll just put it back together the way I took it apart.

Stock 2.0, stock head, 274 (s2) cams/springs, e85, 30psi, VD shows 430 by 6k and stays flat til 7500. up to 20* up top and wants more. Zero counts of knock. I need bigger injectors before I can max out my setup.
