Yes sir, i was surprised myself, every other thread i found about the cams say you don't loose any spool or at least not a lot of spool, that's why i bought them, but i verified everything in my set up just to make sure it wasn't something else but everything checks out fine, the only difference is the cams, granted i still have to play with the cam adjustments and see if i can get any spool back, however i can't complain about the power delivery of the GSC S3, it's awesome and doesn't fall off on the top end like the S2 did, car feels awesome.

That's odd. I'm sure it could be setup related too, to where the cams might be sensitive to supporting mods. Either way, you're extracting some impressive power from the 25g on pump gas, so congrats!

I'm very excited to see what you're able to do with Shawn's 2.4L/25g setup. That thing should be a torque monster with the stock IM and the Comp 280s. It's going to be badass!

Shawn's car should be a really fun and powerful car once we finish tuning it, i'm just waiting on him to get all his ducks in a row so we can tune it. I will be going to the Dyno next week to see how my car does on a real dyno, which might also be the last i play with the 25G, just bought a 6466 BB which will be going in very soon, i might also try out the new GSC R2 cams, aiming for 850hp, also installing my Quarter Master 8 leg and the 4.00 final drive so i can have some fun with it.

what spec of this turbo should I get? I see the 25 G 10.5's on ebay and on kinugawa's site but not the 11.5 version.

I want to be able to make 500hp. My car will be a daily driver 3 days of the week and I do intend on doing some frequent drag racing. what kind of ET's should this turbo to get me. im hoping for high 12's or low 11 sec.

Mods on my car. Built 2.3L Engine. stock head/stock cams, 750cc injectors, 255 lph walbro, Apexi Power FC L Jetro, larger 3 inch intercooler and 2.5 piping kit, 3 inch turbo back exhaust, Exedy twin disk clutch, shortened final drive 4.785, DMS suspension.

AFAIK the 25g 10.5 cm should be able to get you the 500hp you're looking for. 450whp or so.

Like it was said before the 10.5 should get you there no problem, however looks like you could probably run out of injectors before you hit 500 wheel, when i had my 1200cc at was at 65% idc at 30 psi with the cast wheel at 510hp wheel with my 2.4LR, whichever version you end up going for make sure you get the billet wheel with it, it makes a lot of difference. At 25 psi the car put down 460hp, when i took it to the track it did an 11.9@121, with a mediocre 1.9 60ft, it wasn't hooking for nothing, now at 510hp with a good launch it should do mid to low 11s no problem.

Friends help.
installed my turbo kinugawa td06 25g with billet wheel, 11.5cm hot housting, antisurge, billet actuator with 1.2 bar black spring.

but it does not boost as needed. boost off only 0.7 bar, shooting off tube from actuator, boosting only 1.5 bar and very late.

check for boos leak, check pre load of actuator, all is ok. I have out of ideas.

ps: sorry for my poor english

When does it hit full boost? You say it's hitting 22lbs and your only running an 18lb spring. What do you mean by shooting off tube from actuator?

full boost 1.5(22psi) on 4200. shooting off tube from actuator = no pressure on actuator spring = turbo boost all that it can.

this spring that I currently have, it's actually gives a pressure of 0.7 bar (checked with a hose wired directly from compressor to actuator port). actuator seems to be installed correctly.

but from this thread, more ppl use stronger spring like 1.5, 1.7 or 2.0 bar! my 1.2 black sprng softer than stock.

btw, kinugawa answer me that will make replacement of spring.

Just bought a 25g/tdo5 cartridge and comp cover. Need to order an exhaust housing. Torn between the 8cm and 10cm housing. I have a hhr ss...same engine as fastgti69 has in his cobalt. Im shooting for 450whp on 93 and 500+ on e85. I want quick spool but too quick kills our transmissions. I think ideally if the larger 10cm housing will reach 20+psi by 4200 i would prefer that since it would give more up top

Advice/opinions????
