Basically just gasket match the inlet, and blend it down about an inch, smooth the outlet and gasket match. They did a little work in the wastegate opening in my housing, but not in he port itself.

Looks like mine is more or less the same. I figure for $90, I got a coated housing with a bit of free porting LOL.

Kaj i like that coating on your housing better. Appears to have more of a matte finish. Were you able to spec that color at Socal porting? What does it cost for just the coating alone?

Did anyone buy the fp oil line for this turbo? $250 is pretty damn pricey.

Eh. Kaj made his own and it still cost him $180. Only think he bought from FP was the filter assembly. Fittings and line aren't cheap..

No way was I paying $250 LOL. It took a while, but I sourced my own parts and made a few extras, while I was at it. I did use their filter housing, though, since I feel I can trust it.
$180 > $250.
MAP makes a feed line kit for $140-150, but I didn't like the filter they use.

That's still good work. I plan on doing the same since I have access to Russell fittings. Btw $180 < $250 lol

Not when it's money coming out of your pocket. Would rather pay $180 than $250 so 180 is greater. lol

not in this case, my friend. LOL. Do you get good pricing on Russel stuff? I had to order from 6 different places to keep costs down. Russel stuff can get quite expensive.

What would the driving characteristics be like with this turbo on stock block and e85 compared to the BB green or the BB red? I am ready to ditch my stock turbo after 120k miles with my car... I am currently on full bolt ons (stock intake pipe and BOV) and Cosworth M2 cams/ head studs making 404 awhp. is 500hp+ attainable if i drop this turbo in? id probably go speed density and walbro 450 (if double pumper is overkill), and im sure my FIC 1050 will hold up

If you look inside the hotside, Ruben at SoCal Porting does way more than a gasket match. He ports the hell out of the inside of the turbine paying special attention to how the inside area relates to the wastegate holes. Pretty phenominal job if you ask me.

The pics don't do it justice because the dark coating hides a lot of the work.

Pretty much. Even if it weren't covered up, I wouldn't be able to tell without a side-by-side comparison. Sounds like SCP is one hell of a deal.
All I know is the flat black looks sexy.

I work for the parent company Edelbrock and Russell is next door. I asked my fellow engineer and he thinks we can piece this together for way cheap. Might come up with something better as well. Just have some concerns about this inline filter setup.
