I didn't know that window tint can cause your drivetran to fail! I hoped you fought the dealership on it!

It would be most likely due to the TT and not to the tint.

Theres a law about this now. No company can void your warranty for mods unless the part broken is directly related to the mod. For example if your tcase goes out and all you have is springs on your car then they cant deny the warranty for that. Also for them to deny your warranty they have to prove, well they're supposed to, that the mod in question killed the part that broke. I.E. a turbo timer should not void a warranty PERIOD as all it does is keep the car running and has nothing to do with the Tcase that was broken. I finally found a dealership here in GA that is mod friendly to an extent. If all you have is a TBE and boost controller then they wont void your warranty and will fix your car. Some guys here have even gotten away with getting their cars fixed and they had cams. Just do some research on your local dealerships.

Yes, there is a lawand has been one for a long time. However how are we going to fight it? I can't hire Johhny Cochren to fight mistu's lawyers. Just have to swallow it as a loss and go on. I did what I could. I started a claim with the resolution center and it was denied

Its a little late to fight it now, but if this happens again all you have to do is tell them "prove how this turbo timer made my tcase go our" or whatever happens to be the problem. If they cant prove it then they have to fix it. Might also help to have a tape recorder on you. That way if they cant explain it to you and still refuse to fix it then you have the proof that they are denying your claim illegally. Call me paranoid, but id rather record a conversation with a service manager than pay a few grand to pay for a new tcase.

i agree 100% if you cant prove the mod caused the failure you have to fix it.......i only caution you on the "abuse" clause in the warranty. im not saying you abuse your car, but that is very easy to prove.......i have had to pull a clutch out of an evo because of a lawsuit concerning abuse on an evo with a broken t-case.
dont shoot the messager im only trying to help

The day I was in at the stealership they dist rep was there. He is the one who made the final call on voiding the warranty. Now I know that the TT didn't blow my TC, however who do I take the complaint to that they voided me? Even if I had tapes of conversations with the guys who would I take them to? When everything happen they refused to even look at the car once the rep said not to. I was asked to leave the dealership. 8k miles later when I had the "up gear syncro grind" and I took it in to have it fixed they refused to wait on me and asked me to leave again. Ended up taking it elsewhere to get it fixed. Mistu knows what there doing when it comes to these cars. Some dealerships are awsome and will let you have TBE, cams, FMIC and everything else other wont. Look at how the Brembos and clear coat on the wings was taken care of, some replaced some refused.

^^Not to hijack SIKEVO9's thread, but just want to mention somthing..more directed to .Fusion7 situation. You should've or maybe still can ask for it in writing, bascially saying that your tc or whatever warranty is voided because of your mods, TT. Also, the explaination of how tt destroy the TC should be on there. You might not win any suit or sort, however, you can maybe sent this letter to your State's Attorny's or Comsumer Affairs' office and they will determine whether if a law have been violated. Chances are, the dealership won't give it to you in writing. In thet case, you might actually have a case w/ lawyer. Dealers WILL break laws and tell you some bullSh@t to delay you or stop you from taking action! Don't let them take advantage of you!
