Just got, buying, reviewing, thinking about a new Evo [Ultra Hyper Mega MERGE]
I was just thinking about the small gas tank as one thing I didn't like.. I really think my biggest gripe is inadequate stock instrumentation, however I think that was by design since many of us will want to have better gauges, so minimal is better.. But a boost gauge in the instrument cluster would have been nice.
My only other thing is It would have been nice to have this car in a 2 door.. Otherwise I can't really complain about the car.. It really suits everything I need a car for, PLUS its fun to drive and performs very admirable..

Evo - Dilemma
well today i cruised down to my local Mitsu dealership (where everybody knows your name...hehe) and they took me for a ride in a blue evo....and OMG.
well anyways, before i know it i am applying for a loan with them and guess what...i got them a little below MSRP. Holy ****....so the dilemma is, since my car is so hooked up with the SDS and the built engine i cant give it back to them so i need to sell it privately. Now Mitsu aggreed to defer my payments by 60 days giving me time to sell my gride, and if after the first 60 days i still havent sold it yet, they would pay my first payment giving me ANOTHER 30 days to sell the gride.
this what they are offering:
3200 down - 650/month for 72 months
1700 down - 699/month for 72 months
Now the said i can drive the car off tom. @ 11 am and not have to pay them the down payment until next friday because i get paid on wed.
so what does everyone think? Please i am going to loose sleep over this tonight so please any advise is EXTREMELY wanted.
thanks, peps

I paid 0 down MSRP, came to about 32,500 with tax title destination. 60 months at 3.9% and my payment is 610.00 a month. You must have a high interest rate? I'd see if i could get a lower rate.
If anyone is near Las Vegas and wants a Evo, Courtesy Mit has about five that have been sitting on the lot. They are not moving them very quickly. I would bet anyone could get one here for a bit less than MSRP. I paid MSRP about a month ago. If interested talk to Steve as he is there internet sales person.

Dude they are screwing you!
$3200 down and $650 a month for 72 months amounts to a 17% interest rate!!! That is loansharking in this economy!
Unless your credit is horrible, you should be able to get a 5-6% car loan easy and only have to pay $500/mo. or even better pay the car off in less than 6 years!
Remember, cars only depreciate (even our Evo) and you don't want to be upside-down on your loan when the Evo XI comes out.
I'm sure they'd be glad to defer payments for 3 months - they're raping you with that deal!

3,200 + (650 x 72) = 50,000 as stated above. That is indeed over 17% per year.
The thing is, you can get the car immediately without having the 30,000 for it. I have read about $560 a month here, but I'm not sure how long for. By I guess it was 72 months as well, given that it comes up to a total amount of 40,000.
Wouldnt a bank lend you 30,000 for much less?

I beleive even what I'm paying for the car is a little steap, but 650 DAMN, I was paying that on my Z06, lease of course.
I pay $520 a month, and that is with the extra insurance they offer, at 6%. I still think 6% is high, I should have gotten at least 3.9, but hey, that's not much difference in monthly payment. But if you want the car bad enough and you can swing the payments I say go fo it! But I would fiist ask what your APR is before you sign. 17% is way high.
How's your credit?

gride will be sold for best offer.
9:1 compression RIPP forged pistons, balanced engine and machined heads
SDS - Supercharger Drive System running at 6 psi- put down 260whp before building the engine
Alot more mods
the engine isnt even broken in yet about 100 miles to go

sounds like bull**** ... then again when I was about 18 or so I did 80 from light to light in a 3rd gen RX7.... sales guy got just a bit upset.... " okay okay you can slow down now! "
oh well .. was young, stupid, didn't know about breaking in cars.

I don't understand why everyone is calling BS, I regularly go to car dealers and rip the sh*t out of cars on test drives...
Who cares who buys it after I drive it... I don't give a rats ***, I'm test driving it, that's all that matters.
Sometimes the salesguy is much worse than me test driving the car.
