I think the version available for download right now from the openecu site wont work...but obviously some of the people in this thread has a version that can download the stock maps and write them...

Crap.

I answered my own question by doing some research. I have an ECUTek flash on my car and wont be able to use this tool to DL the map, or flash a stock map back on, or even communicate at all using openecu.

And I already ordered my tactrix cable.

I believe the delay is in waiting for a few things to happen ..

1. Maps for the X .. (I hope theres others, but I believe right now I may be the only one going through the roms for the maps)

2. Program stability.. enough testing on the car to ensure successful reads and writes ..

3. Feedback on any issues and problems .. from the beta testings, it seems like there's really not alot of X's around to test

Right now, I know its like being tied to a chair and watching everyone else have a turn with a hot chick while you can only watch ..

Have another X going on the dyno end of this week or weekend for more testing.

Could be less than a week, but safer to assume it will be released within two weeks.
