COBB AccessTUNER Pro for 2008 EVO X (merge)
What map are you flashing?
The maps that are available on your website under 2008 Mitsu EVO MR. The maps (from just now) are the same file that I d/loaded in middle December, 2008 - the md5 checksums are identical.
Should I get updated maps? From where?
this was explained on page 18. you need an updated map.
Everyone who updates, please re-flash your ECU. It should be quick Do a change map to the same map or whatever map you want to run. For those with custom tunes you will need to have your shop open an re-save their maps in the current version of AccessTuner Pro, then send it back to you. Reflash your map and you will be good to go. I would offer to update your maps, but we cannot open their tunes as the maps are protected for them.
edit...you know wat, nevermind. their web site might not be up to date either. that stage 1 you have could still be old.
by the way, we are on "page" 20 of this "thread". you can easily navigate through "threads" by clicking on certain "page" numbers.

I am using the stage 1 maps from www.cobbtuning.com. I've tried the Stage 1 91 octane, the Stage 1 91 ACN and the Stage 1 93 octane maps all with the same results.

For example, use AP manager to pull Stage I 91 Octane off the AP. Plug the AP into the car and flash the Stage 1 91 Octane which should always be on the AP by default.
A little info. As of current, our updater will update the included stage maps, but not the maps placed on by a user such as custom tunes.
Thanks,
I'm getting the same problem Rob... Updated the firmware... Everything is much faster but the live data doesn;t work sayinbg I have a old map i need update which isn't on the Cobbtuning page as of yet... All program is running well but i can't do live data, 0-60 or 1/4 mile... What's up with that?
On my AccessPORT, I used the AP Manager software to delete the default maps via the Advanced window. I did this because I connected the AP to my computer before installing it on my car, and it appeared as though there were no maps loaded at all in the manager. I downloaded the maps from the Cobb website and loaded them onto the AP, and when I installed the AP on my car I had duplicates of all the maps. I went back to the manager software and deleted all the maps (both in the main window and advanced window), and then put one copy back on.
All that said, the 1.3.1.0 firmware update did not place those default maps back onto the AP. As of right now, I don't have any access to the updated maps. Is there a workaround for this, or a way to get those default maps back on there?

Tuning is not incredibly difficult once you get over the steep learning curve, which can be daunting depending on your level of understanding of engine operation and engine management. Mostly tuning takes a dedication to learning and the willingness to make mistakes, some bigger than others. Yes, you could easily damage your motor if tuned incorrectly. If you are not comfortable with tuning yourself, I highly advise you to seek the help of a professional. *Some* of those professionals can be willing to help you learn how to tune as well.
The IC piping should be ok, but I'm not sure about the BOV. If the BOV causes a problem, and it very well might, you could remove it until a tuner could tune around the part given it's only there for audible enjoyment
Is the HKS BOV (Blow off valve) an actual vent to atmosphere or does it recirculate back into the intake (BPV - Bypass valve)? The intake will also need a tune given it will most likely lean out the AFR beyond a point where the motor will be happy.
Currently we do no have tunes for the intake, although they are in the works. As far as the BOV, I'm not sure if there are plans to create a map.
Thanks,
