^^So if I had a tune done at Cobb Plano I need to call them and have them resend me my custom tune before I update the AP?

Tuning is not incredibly difficult once you get over the steep learning curve, which can be daunting depending on your level of understanding of engine operation and engine management. Mostly tuning takes a dedication to learning and the willingness to make mistakes, some bigger than others. Yes, you could easily damage your motor if tuned incorrectly. If you are not comfortable with tuning yourself, I highly advise you to seek the help of a professional. *Some* of those professionals can be willing to help you learn how to tune as well.

The IC piping should be ok, but I'm not sure about the BOV. If the BOV causes a problem, and it very well might, you could remove it until a tuner could tune around the part given it's only there for audible enjoyment Is the HKS BOV (Blow off valve) an actual vent to atmosphere or does it recirculate back into the intake (BPV - Bypass valve)? The intake will also need a tune given it will most likely lean out the AFR beyond a point where the motor will be happy.

Currently we do no have tunes for the intake, although they are in the works. As far as the BOV, I'm not sure if there are plans to create a map.

Thanks,

Yes Sir, or I can do so for you since it was a Cobb map from Plano. Feel free to email it to me and I'll update it when I get in. Right now I'm sipping coffee and chatting with you blokes.

Thanks,

Is the vehicle right or left hand drive? What are the main units on the speedometer?

just an fyi.

i updated the AP early this morning and connected to the ecu. updated the dongle (like a 2-3 step process) and flashed in valet maps (to take it to a shop i don't necessarily trust with it). it flashed in like 15 seconds.

i got to say. i've never hit the rev limiter before like some guys that go to the track do, it startles the crap out of you when you hit it.

No sir, but you can certainly uninstall before updating if you would like.

Yes
That isn't the case for my car. After a few seconds my stock map basically disables the 2 step and the car will shoot to normal redline.

Did the update to the AP and re-flashed the ECU. Checked the firmware on the AP and it's the new one. But, while connected to the car, Livedata display a error message saying "there is a newer version of the Map available "

Do I also need to update the Map with AP manager?

But all the maps say ver. 1.00? Will it do any good downloading the maps from Cobb?

Also, I let Perrin know about this and they should already be on top of it!

Thank you X,

If you are using a Cobb staged map, your maps are already updated. Please perform a change map to the map you would like to use, even if it's the same map on the ECU.

Thanks,

So, when will you guys have the map for intake/downpipe available? It has been "in works" for a long while.
