Hi, a question to Rob. I've just updated firmware on my AP. Looking forward to the new functionality however after the update my Data Monitor doesnt work. It says my map should be updated too! Guess there will be 1.01 Cobb stage 1 maps soon there but i have a custom tune map. Are you guys going to fix it?

how hard is it to tune the maps yourself using the AP? could i damage the car if i do it wrong?


i have injen intake and upper intercooler piping and a hks bov...so cobb doesn't have a map for those parts...should i just wait for a map to come out?

I had a heck of a time trying to update the AP this morning. Plugged AP into computer, opened the updater which then started downloading immediately. Funny thing, the update manager's menus and status window message was a bunch of random numbers.

the AP restarted on its own to a screen that says updating, then the update manager FROZE (not responding) and closed down. i reopened the update manager, which started to do the same thing downloading and updating...i assume because the manager and status window were random numbers..i hope that makes sense.

some how it updated, and the firmware is 1.3.1~ (im at work right now, dont remember the exact number) but now when I'm hooked up to my car, and i try to go into the live data menu it says my map needs to be updated - i have the stage 1 from perrin.

what is going on?

Ok so whats up with the update? The web site says version 1.3.0.4, is this the new update? What is the number of the new update?
So far two people have updated and now cannot get live data and are getting a message that says there maps need updating.
Right now I am scared to update as my car is running really well and I don't want to mess that up!!!

what kind of gains are you ppl getting off this thing and what are they telling you guys what it will give you on the average? i plan on chosing inbetween certain tunning methods as a first timer tuning myself and i dont know what to get i keep hearing random things off everyone? what is the average gain on this?

 

how do i find out if its JDM or USDM ECU? how do i get the ROM out from my ECU?

 

With update now installed, when I get to the screen titled "Set Data Log List" and select OK, it responds with "Cable not connected"
(Yep, the dingle is not connected as I'm only attempting to set what to log) then pressing either OK or Esc producs the same result: the unit freezes and must pull the USB cable to get it back.

How do I set the logging selecting list?

 

same problem... i think they disabled the option to set it not pluggeed into the car... sucks but if it speeds flashing up i'm ok with it

 

Everyone who updates, please re-flash your ECU. It should be quick Do a change map to the same map or whatever map you want to run. For those with custom tunes you will need to have your shop open an re-save their maps in the current version of AccessTuner Pro, then send it back to you. Reflash your map and you will be good to go. I would offer to update your maps, but we cannot open their tunes as the maps are protected for them.

1.3.1.0 is the current version we have released even though the website says 1.3.0.4. Our web guru will be taking care of putting up the AccessTuner Race links today along with changing the description of the current AP firmware.

Like I said in my previous post I wanted to let all of you get the firmware last night, but we would not be updating the descriptions until sometime today

The AP is trying to ask the ECU for information to give you the most up to date log list. Try connecting to a car, it should work from there.

Please leave the device connected to the computer while it updates as it may take a while depending on what version you had prior, your internet connection, how hard our servers are getting hit, etc.
