yes but keep in mind this is absolute pressure they are showing on the AP. so you need to subtract ~14.7 to get actual psi.

Robb I just wanted to thank you and your company for such an awesome easy to use product that provides users with the versatility of a logger, reflasher, and a self-tuning option as well. Nothing but over here!
Now I'm just waiting on the virtual dyno feature!

You will only pull it out to "double check" boost if you are or think you're having issues.
You are aware that it logs most of the factory sensors and clears codes right? i agree that a dedicated Boost Gauge and a Wideband should go into any evo that won't be stock, but in my opinion, the AP isn't a "paperweight" in between flashes.

It was for me and I had two of them over the course of ownership. I am very aware of the capabilities of the AP. You won't or shouldn't throw codes often enough for it to matter. Again, just my opinion from experience. You are free to do whatever you want.

The problem is that much of the port (and intake manifold walls) is/are wet with fuel when the engine is in normal operation - more so (more wetness) under heavy throttle and power production. Then when the throttle is closed, the airflow is cut off at the same time the manifold pressure is lowered. The wet fuel on the walls of the intake system will boil off due to the low pressure in the manifold and the result is a brief over-rich condition in the cylinder, then the exhaust system. After all the fuel on the port walls evaporates, then the intake system is only moving air [assuming fuel cut on overrun] so the exhaust shows full air, or lean.

There will be less of an effect if the actual throttle plate is closed slower, similar to the old dashpot functions in decades past but it will still be there. With an associated initial loss in engine braking.
My 1997 BMW M3 Turbo (aftermarket) did not have this problem.

Thank you for the kind words.

We're actively working on the virtual dyno for the Evo X. Hopefully it'll be finished up soon.

Thanks again,

U must be refering to the V.1 of AP, just as someone mentioned here, you can read most of the stock sensors from the car and it also does 2 things that no freeware does yet for "self-tuners" who own the X

1. log your car
2. allows you to tune your vehicle via street tuner software

how is that a paper weight?

by the way, you have to buy a 100USD control unit for the defi gauge; at 275usd, thats heck of an expensive boost gauge

The software has the same abilities as our Pro Tuning suite(no map locking). You can make any changes necessary and save the map to the AP. You will then flash the car with the AP.

The software will connect 'Live' to the car for data monitoring and logging. The logs will also be displayed in the same software, no Xcel needed. I think you will find the logger very well laid out and easily interpreted. I think this will make tuning the X much easier for the newer guys.

Thanks guys.

off topic ... This is about where to mount the AP not if it is worth it or not...
but anyway...
I usually don't get into if the product is good or bad, but the AP is much more than a paper weight...
unless you got one you have no idea...

With the AP you get a good tool to use if you want
it's can hold up many map for use at any time... econo, valet, parked etc...
with a flash or dyno yes it's awesome, but what happen if you need to flash it back to stock you would have to go to the shop to reflash it back...<~ waste of time
700 bucks for the Ap is not bad at all...
for 650<~ dyno tune you get one tune, some shop might do add on free or charge a little bit
but that is all you get...

AP machine, Accesstuner pro<~ professional dyno tuning ability, accesstuner race <~ self tune, custom maps that is saved for future usage, and good support... not just paper weight...

Had my first problem since flashing my ECU with the Stage I map...
I was driving normally today around 40-50 degree weather and I gased it for a bit then the check engine light came on... I was freaking out... So I stopped and ran the AP to check for codes it was P1235 Fuel Pump Control Out Of Range
I heard it was from the ecu not liking how much boost it is getting... is this true... I flashed it back to stock map just incase... is this something I should be worried about???
Overboost Maybe? Is the Stage I map is tweaked well enough? i don't know... please give me some feed back... I see other people have gotten it too but I'm on stock intake... The only thing I got is CBE
