I deleted my post b/c I learned that there is a better combination of tranny oil that what I had recommended!
I guess I am going with 2Qts of Red Line MTL and 1Qt of Red Line 75W90

i'm about to take my 2011 GSR for it's first oil change at 4k miles and was going to go ahead and get the transmission oil changed too...hopefully that will fix some of the notchiness i have. so my question is...do i just tell the guys at the dealership what i want put in, like the red line synthetic that ajithsilva mentioned, or buy it first and just give it to them?

My dealer said my warranty be void if I put anything other than OEM in. I suggest doing it on your own, or find a reputable shop. I suggest MTL, as I've tried the MT-85.

talked to the guy at my dealership and said he would look into replacing the transmission fluid for me under warranty, definitely didn't think that was going to happen. now whether they would use OEM or whatever brand I wanted is yet to be decided...just thought that was awesome. also, anyone have any experience with putting in a short throw shifter and having smoother shifts?

I just removed the clutch restrictor pill and it's like night and day... No more grinding going into 2nd and 3rd. I'm also running MT-85 since couple months, which also helped.

2011 GSR here ~7k miles. Definitely a clunk/notch going into 3rd when its cold. I'm going to try some AMS under hood bushings, then maybe some new fluid. I'll post if I get any results!

Differential Issues
I got my car here from the states. German Mitsubishi has stopped working with all American Mitsubishi period. So my manufactures warranty is basiclly worthless here in Germany. THe car go here and we got it apart. The differential has metal shavings in it and the front the drive shaft has a .05mm grove in it from these shavings floating around in there. Is there anyone stateside I can contact from Mitsubishi? I am military and bought the car off the internet and paid out of pocket to ship it here. The internet car dealer won't help at all. We are getting legal involved but its a really slow process. I just want to get my car back on the road. I cant even find any front dif's online to buy. Any help would be great. Thanks, Jyles

Stealership: Koons of Silver Spring, MD
Similar to what everyone else is saying Mitsu dealership Koons of Silver Spring, MD ripped me off. I took them for service because my tranny was leaking. They told me that I had installed an aftermarket drive shaft and that was the cause.
The stupid technicians did not know anything, on top of that the service rep gave me a service recommendation on a different car. (I thought it was hilarious given what was going on). I called Mitsubishi to complain but only to find out they side with moron stealerships.

I never had an allegiance to Mitsubishi I only like Evo's. I wish Evo was its own brand!!!

My Evo has 1,700 miles and I just installed the Greddy counterweight shift knob. Big difference in shifting feel from that mod alone. Took away the slight notchiness I had in 1-2 and 2-3 shift.

Does anyone even make an aftermarket driveshaft for the X anymore?? Think AMS made a lightened one years ago, but I don't think they do anymore.

Try a different dealership, and keep calling & bugging corporate about the issue until they resolve it. Lawyer up, if you have the means.
