+1 the High belt line and flat slab sides are very TSX. But thats not a bad thing. I do hope tho that the Evo X will have nice wide fender flares.

I think the Brembo car = Evo X, and the Non-Brembo = Ralliart (turbo, awd)

Exclamation

Yeah, im a 100% sure the sight of red brakes (brembos) is the X, and the silver brakes is the ralliart. Both cars looking great I might add, but I notice, from a side profile view, the X looks very similar to a current gen RS.

EDIT:
Maybe it's just me, but the fifth pics is the ralliart (silver brakes), but is that a FMIC peeking out?

If they want to keep seeling Evos and to keep ahead of the Euro models like M3 and Ferrari, it is good to have 370+ under the hood.

Have you ever seen the BMI videos?

They love to show the Evo in first against M3(333hp) and Ferrari 360 Modena (400hp).

The Euro automakers are working... M3(400hp) and Ferrari(490hp).

I can't wait to see the Evo X vs M3 V8 vs Ferrari 430.

I would be happy with 2900lbs and 370+hp

My list of improvemets: 2.2~2.3liter to help spool up and low end torque, 7600rpm redline, MIVEC on both exhaust and intake camshafts with variable lift and timing, Variable intake manifold, Variable turbo geometry, maybe direct fuel injection, brakes that do not warp etc...

Is it me or does the rear look too short compared to the front?

Ford Transmission in Cologne are the once testing the cars
What's interesting to me is that Getrag Ford is in Cologne. Didn't Getrag produce the Skyline R-34 transmission ?

These hopes/predictions seem a little bit off from what reports suggest we can expect from the X. The articles I've read state that Mitsu will stick with a 2.0 liter engine (not sure I agree with this decision) so I'd expect a small bump in horsepower to somewhere around 310-320hp. I just don't see how it'd be feasible to make a reliable, turbo 2.0 liter engine for mass production reach hp levels in the high 300's from the factory.

As posted above, I've also seen the reports that the X will go on a diet and shave off some pounds so I expect this will contribute significantly to improved performance. The Evo never needed extremely hp levels to compete with the likes of 333hp M3's in terms of performance, so I wouldn't expect that philosophy to change. The Evo is a $35K sports sedan that is not designed to compete with hp numbers from $45-$90K sport coupes that are jumping up to 500 hp. However, the impressive part is that even without these stats Evos' performance numbers have always matched or bettered many of these cars.

honestly i think the only thing left for Mitsu to do is to up the displacement...

imagine an Evo with 3000lbs of weight, and a 3.0L flat6 twin turbo as powerful as the 2jz...damn that makes me wanna burst out in tears of joy.

of course that'd never happen...if u see what the 2.0L 4g63 is capable now, imagine if Mitsu up the displacement by 500cc and go 2.5L. i dont like the idea of sharing platforms, but hopefully the Evo X will come out to be a beast. i think it'd need at least 350-380hp to stay competible to the v8m3. the US Evo since 03 VIII has always been pretty close to the m3 in acceleration (from a stop), the X should be no different (hopefully). the X should hopefully trap around 110mph stock

OMG!.. what makes you so sure? Does the base WRX not have painted red calipers? Does the SRT4 not have painted red calipers? They are painting the calipers red on the new ralliart so it has more ricer appeal is my theory.. thats not the evo.. where are the fender flares? They wouldnt be testing a car thats going to be 330bhp with 225 width tires max on the car. Can you digitally enhance the pictures to show a brembo logo?

not to burst anyones bubble. but a friend at mitsu corp. confirmed the pics allready. the Ralliart does not have red calipers nor the fact if you look at just the wheels and you can see they are 2 different offsets. the reason behind the getrag testing grounds if anyone remembers mitsubishi who dont just only know evo's is the VR-4 3000GT had the 6-speed getrag tranny's. they may be working with them on the U.S. spec trans but he would'nt confirm that.
