Lancer Evolution X News, Info, Pics, etc... | [ALL THREADS MERGED]
Maybe I am in the minority, but I am very excited about the EVO X. Most EVO owners don't like the look, but a lot, and I do mean a lot of non EVO owners really like the EVO X concepts, even EVO haters enjoyed the look.

i'm excited........ granted i'm not going to have one anytime soon........but when the X comes out and especially when i ride in it for the first time.......i'm sure i'll be a little jealous.
I can't wait until it is finally released. I will buy one. I have an VIII now, and plan on keeping it as well. I guess we'll see all the Evo X "haters" come around once Buschur, AMS, Vishnu...etc get their hands on it and start a new generation of bada$$ parts and tuning. Be optimistic people, this car is sure to be incredible. Regardless of anything, it is the next Evolution. NUFF SAID
excited
I recently had to sell my EVO VIII MR....... (still crying) because of my decision to go back to school and finish my degree.
But once I start working as a police officer in the spring, and get the money again.... New EVO for me..... hopefully a X

Hopefully the rumors suggesting that it will be lighter than the current Lancer Evolution are true as well.

bro.. your source is completely unreliable.. plus it makes no sense whatsoever.. you realize the 4g63 is heavy as hell being its made out of iron correct.. and the new engine will be aluminum? that is significant weight right there!.. plus the car will now incorporate substantial alumium components inside the frame as well.. plus I dont told know how told you narrower is better.. but wider is mostly definately better.. the evo X should have much better weight distrubution now that they are ditching the iron block.
Iv been doing a little thinking.. notice how the STi has very few TC case problems compared to the evo?.. isnt that car a little less front heavy? In any event, weight distribution is the key.

He spoke with the out side sale's men who is suppling the parts we make for the EVO X(Engine/Suspension Fastener's) He said that it is going to be release in July 2007 In Japan. I know that dosent help us to when it will be released here but it give you something to gauge on. He also was told that it will be much heaver than the EVO 9. He said obviouly the suspension is all new and the Engine is going to be more powerful than the EVO 9 to compensate for the weight difference. He said and i Quote that the guy from japan said that the EVO 9 is a better car right now performance wise because of the weight difference and the fact that it is wider it wont handle as good as the EVO 9.
It's more likely that he's right about the July 07 release date, than anything else. That's something the suppliers would need to know (i.e. it determines delivery dates for the parts being supplied). If we assume it will arrive here later than in Japan, looks like I have to do one more autocross season on the ol' VIII. :-(

I figure this will be similar to the way people reacted to the IX when it first started showng up. At first it was almost uniform disgust for the front bumper...
but then when people started to see how crazy the IXs are suddenly everyone wanted a front bumper and they looked good.
With that said I think the X looks like crap and will never look good. This one just might be the evo that really is TOO UGLY to buy.
