I'll wait a couple of years until they work out the bugs.. I might look at what subaru is planning as a response. Maybe the S204...
Whats the big deal about paddle shifters WRC uses them
It's not called the evolution for nothing.

Just to remind everyone.. the evo is a motorsports car known for its crazy road holding power and ease of turning on the track.. you cant use 1000whp on a road course.. and the evo was never intended to be a drag car. Plus the the motors going to be in the range of cammed evos now are making stock.. which is more then enough to hang with supercars on the race track... its all about the improvement in handling.. If you want to drag race, buy a damn GT500.
We dont want yaw control on our evos... it breaks and isnt suitable for the united states where we put alot of miles on our cars. Non of the worlds fastest evos are running yaw control so why do we need it again?
First people complain about a lack of power... they the yaw control? you cant be making crazy hp and reliable run yaw control on a sub 40K... so pick one or the other.

One thing that concerns me is the "active steering" mentioned. This feature has been reviewed poorly in the BMW world.
Active steering as implemented currently has two functions: to quicken the steering at low speeds, and (in some cases) assist vehicle stability control systems.
In BMWs, it's criticised for not being predictable-- the car doesn't know how tight that corner you're going into is, and the result is substantial variations in steering wheel angle to turn any given amount.

it seems to me that Mitsu has realized the cheap interior and racer-boy look needs a facelift if the evo is to really compete in the US market. They won't forget about us though.
but honestly, does someone who really takes their evo driving seriously and competively want a 1000hp dyno queen? of course the evo can be a great drag car but so can lots of cars. play to its strongpoints regardless of paddle shifters, aluminum block, or whatever else "sucks"about the X. Everyone knows the car will have some amazing strongpoints
