The new EVO is something that will grow on me. It does look like Mitsu wants to put the competition behind them though. Oh yeah, last time I checked Ferrari also has paddle shifters and those are OK cars.

A couple of years ago I had a 2002 Maserati with the F1 shifter and they do grow on you after a while. But I hear ya about having the real 6 speed tranny with a pedal clutch.

People, calm down, it's been reported that the Evo X will come with a 6speed transmission as well.

I was a little bit worried about the X, like it would be too "nice." My fears have been assuaged. That is one mean looking car. And, if it's even faster than the IX, I might have to look at that instead of the 330i I was thinking about.

Paddle shifters are awesome--had it on my 02 M3. The argument that it take sno skill is silly. Do you think the world's most skilled driver, Schumacher, would prefer a manual in his Ferrari F1? Hell no! It's like saying these darn power brakes or power steering make braking and steering too easy. if it makes you faster around the track, it's baetter, and it does. Just ask Schumie.

The PROBELM with the electro-hydraulic paddle shifter dry gearbox is that if you own it out of warranty and it breaks, you're F'd. That's why I'd never own and SMG M3 out of waranty, and never mod a paddle shifter Evo. Unless they sell a manual, Evo owners who modify for significant power gains will be smart to avoid the paddle shifters or they'll find Mitsu denying warranty claims for huge estimates to repair the paddle shifter tranny.

It does look kinda ugly; however, I would buy it with the paddle shifters so that my wife can drive it also (She refuses to learn stick).

Is it my imagination, or do the rear wheels look a little larger (Wider and bigger in diameter) than the front.
