what I liked most was that they cleaned up the front of the sti, and that it's going to be available in a hatch. I may have to switch sides...

I agree, I like the STI look.

I am also concerned about the resale value of the X. Because I heard that if Mitsubishi isn't successful in the next few years with it's new models (EvoX and a few others), they may pull out of America.

Wouldn't that kill the value of our cars? Why would a car company leave the biggest market in the world?

I'm willing to bet that you read that on some message board, maybe even this one. Don't listen to any message board pundit throwing out his/her guess as to what's going to happen to any given company; unless it's backed up by a lot of good data. If the GEMA engines work out for them, I think they'll be fine.

Mitsu has always been in a financial state of whackness here in the US. Mitsu wont shut down - thats retarded. Ford and GM are already sharing transmission parts and the new Tranny in the Evo X is an Audi piece....car companies dont die, they just get traded

The Evo def has the edge on the new sti looks wise. In my opinion the subies get uglier and uglier with each new generation.

I don't know about the new look. I like everything but the front end of this car. Maybe with a larger FMIC will make it much better

Here is the best part of this article, "STI is expected in sedan and hatchback configurations." Give me the hatchback.

The hatchback idea is pretty cool! It reminds me of the Ford Escort Cosworth from Europe. I'm looking forward to see both cars in person, as pictures don't always show the whole thing.
