I'll post a picture when i get home, and how I solved it. It is definitely elusive. It took me months to figure it out.

Need that pic man! Driving me nuts.

Also, does anyone's headliner right above the drivers seat rattle? Kinda towards the cabin ceiling light? No sun roof.

Thanks for reminding me.

Wow that's odd about the ceiling. There really isn't much up there. You have hands free yes? Perhaps the mic is loose in the dome light.

Will check that out, gonna look at it later.

Sounds like cabling rattling around in the headliner.

Here is the pic I've been promising. It isn't much to look at...

I basically pulled the A-Pillar panel away from the side, cut out a strip of felt, and tucked it in there. Noise has been gone since.

This isn't noise related but does anyone else have an issue with their far left and far right vents slowly pointing upwards while driving? It annoys the crap out of me because every five minutes the air is blowing in my face, lol.

I think my driver side vent drifts. Its been hot as hell here so i set it to hit my face and next time I jump in the car I feel like I have to do it again.

The passenger side vent is noisy

Yes. There just isn't enough tension in the up/down swivel mechanism to keep it in place. I'm always moving in downwards but in a few minutes its tipped back up. Irritating, but I can live with it.

My big issue now is the ticking/popping type rattle coming from my Sportback's hatch.
