Lancer Evolution XI goes hybrid [merge]
Someone should start a petition like they did back before the Evo came to the US. I think if Mitsubishi really looked at current and past Evo owners and asked if they would purchase this hybrid Evo, they would just improve upon the X. I dont know about everyone else but I think this would be the nail in the coffin for Mitsu. Lets face it how many of you would buy a Mitsubishi if there wasn't an Evo? I know I sure as hell would not.
well this is gonna suck. I now have the last generation evo because I refuse to even call this abomination an Evo. Even a lancer for that matter. I cant believe it would actually come down to the point that they're trying to go green with an evo. Like do they realize that 98% of Evo drivers couldnt care less about the environment and just want to mod the hell out of the cars. Big Mistake Mitsu!!!!
Good-bye Evo!!!!!

I think Mitsu is playing with Fire... messing around and trying new ideas with their flagship, icon car... who would be that stupid... why cant they try all that diesel-electric-hybrid crap on the regular lancer, or the outlander, then if it sells and it works, add them hybrid stuff to the Evo as well
but dont be trying new crap on the only car that has your butt afloat right now

ftl Evo was ruinned when they decided to pitch their real flagship legendary 4G63 and come with an aluminum engine 4B11, the engine that was raced for over 20 years 4G and that proved it self over and over.
i am in no way a tunnel minded person,, but in this case,, i know people would have loved to see another CT9 chassis with little more power and maybe some changes, lighter car would have purged a better MPG, and given this community a better car to work with.
but with all the rules and regs that this administration is imposing things like these will happen in a larger scale you just wait and see,,,

-a new 3000GT VR-4
-maybe a new Eclipse GSX
both with TC-SST.
One way or another their range needs an affordable (<$50,000) aggressively-styled ***-kicking AWD sports car. Pretty much every other option is either German (i.e. $$$ to purchase, mod, and maintain), a supercar (Lambo's, GT-R), hideous (new Subie Sti) or not particularly sporty (the new Ford Taurus SHO).
My main question though is why the Evo... I mean they he tons of sh@t cars but why the... Evo, they do literally nothing to benefit the Evo during the year changes and when they do they try make it sh@t, do they forget there's a car a lot of people buy and would benefit more from this diesel hybrid drive train.
