Well all these magazines are saying it's coming... I think Mitsu's going to HAVE to bring it or they're gona have a lot of upset potential customers and the magazines will look like jackasses. Every write up I've read on the MR praises it like a god ( which of course it is ) Mitsubishi is getting a lot of free advertisement because of that so why not bring it even at like 33 - 34k people will eat it up. Right now in my life I can't afford it, but in a year or two I will be able too and I'm kinda glad about that

They don't HAVE to bring anything. In fact, they didn't even have to bring the Evo we have now. If Evo's weren't selling at $30K when it first came out, what makes you think that people will shell out another $4K for the MR? The Evo is a niche car - I simply don't believe that there is a big market for such a performance oriented (and lack of creature comfort) car like the Evo. Evo's were an awesome deal before and they're even awesomer now that people can get them for a tad over invoice. Mitsu needs to sell these Evos and fix their customer service first.

What reference do you have indicating Evo's aren't selling well? and why do you think a better equipped more expensive car has no market? RIght now in the depressed economy, it's those that are buffered from the ups and downs the most who purchase the most expensive toys. While most all bourgeois goods are not selling well, yachts and maybachs are at an all time high demand.

The Evo MR at 32k will not sell well. . .
It needs to be priced lower at 29k or so at the current price and just replace the current Evo.

I dont have an Evo yet, but I will in about 5-6 months. I would LOVE the MR but if the dealer still has some 03 Evos left when the MR's arrive, I'm sure I could get one hell of a deal on one. I am pretty lucky because the Mitsu dealer out here always keeps about 4 in stock and when they sell one, they get another one within a week and they dont mark them up at all.

There are plenty of unsold Evos on the lot. If the 1500 mark is true for the number of Evos in 2004, then that only serves to reinforce that maybe the car was released in a quantity larger than they needed to.

IIRC, the US is their biggest market for Evos. I think in most other countries they don't see anywhere near 4500 on a yearly basis.

For all you naysayers. It's confirmed. This should be proof enough.

Here

The Evo MR at 32k will not sell well. . .

Yeah, maybe not to you but you wouldn't pay three grand more for all the stuff that car has over the Evo 8??!!

I think it's a STEAL for that much car personally..

Guess I have to eat my words- the MR is coming.
Don't break out the soy sauce yet, dude.

These "unconfirmed" reports do not equate to an official word from

Seriously.

Let the "rumour pot" bubble and simmer so it builds momentum for the Official release..

But there is no confirmed report from or the dealers..(who may be the LAST to know.. )

Wow, that was close..
I almost thought I had to post biggie smalls as my avatar cuz I thought those links were the official release..
