Nice steven, I wish I had gotten the gauge that gives me peak boost readings. I know I have peaked up at 15 before looking up at the gauge during a run. But it scares the hell outta me and I let off right away lol.

Even better than the peak, the gloshift one i have also has an alarm, so when i hit 9psi...I know it. Makes me feel safe, incase my wastegate source comes off, hopefully i can stop accelerating before something goes boom.

yeah I love the prosport, sometimes its loud when you turn it on which I hate, no offense to the glow shift guages but I dont like them at all I tried seeing what was the highest boost I mae in the evo esterday but it never pulled up but I did go 19 pounds had to look at the gauge while accelerating, I went to my dealer yesterday for some business and he wanted me to take a look at his red evo. Oh man that car hauls!!! sometimes I want an evo so bad this lady in a black range rover cut in front of me on the highway right when I was about to exit and I said oh hell no and punched it and passed her in a second and then I made my exit in time... but the problem with the evo was his BOV wasnt recirculated which caused the car to go rich when you reved it and let the bov push the air out.

My timing sucks 15.5 psi was cool but im getting low -4's which is nice for not knocking like I did before but power loss sucks. So I bumped it up a degree and I will probably continue until im satisfied and im at where 03lance is with his car.

Does anyone know what is the max hp we can squeeze out of our cars without breaking a rod?

Torque spikes are what you want to watch out for those are the engine killers. I have read for hp anywhere from 220-230whp but I am starting to think its actually higher than that with my experience. Even running 12psi dd and hitting high boost every single day I dont see any signs of engine issues with my car she runs like a top

I've seen the rods in your cars and they are really nearly identical to the rods in an evo except cast. Since i can run 400ft/lbs on forged rods of the same size lets assume a nice safe limit for cast is like 320ft/lbs.

HP at 320 ft/lbs @ 6250 would be 380hp

So I'm guessing we should aim for 250 and call tuning done since most of us turbo guys are dd?

Man if I could get my hands on an lsd for cheap I would be all about raising the boost even a little more. However as of now my car is a little one tire fryer ALL THE TIME raising the boost would not make me any faster at least through town where I spend 95% of my driving, it would just make me go through tires that much faster!!!

ok so we can aim for higher horsepower then? Ok so am I good to go 275 and call my tuning done until I get my new motor? Im pretty sure I can find a trans in the dallas are for cheap, I might just buy 2 of them to be safe I think I can find a trans here for around 400-600 easily

OMG these roads are so horrible, Im thinking I might have bent something like a strut or something that metal piece that connects to the brakes, I forgot what its called... which i hope not, I was turning right and my car was sliding, next thing I know I hit a curb going like 10 miles an hour and it hit my front tire and I stopped immediately. I have like a little dent in my rim but I could care less because they are stock, what should damages should I look at to be safe?

Copied everything over to 03lances rom and I will flash it tomorrow so lets see how it goes from there. Still increasing timing one by one, but im thinking about using the stock tephra octane map and just lowering the timing to make it easier, my fuel map is good but I will let yall know this power is killing me, 215 load = about 200 hp at 13 psi... theres no way thats right, but hey I beat a bmw 5 series on -4 degrees of timing at 15.5 psi I wonder what kind of power I could be making if I raised the timing

the spindle? thats the only thing i can think of that connects to the brakes...

anywho you pansy with roads being horrible....lol. we got at least 2 feet of snow yesterday, shut down roads completely, civil emergency was issued, full blizzard conditions where visibility was literly nothing. woke up this morning to 7 foot snow drifts in most places. they actually had to get out the big v-plow to get thru most of them....

o and btw my scoob rocks! wouldnt have made it to work without her....
