That is very good news. Make sure you keep up the good work, car-wise and money wise. It's always better to save now, and spend later....unless you get a great deal on a built bottom end that can boost 17psi and probably put down 300+hp at that pressure with a quality amount of tune-age.

Huge update!!!

I have a new project coming this spring for my 22nd Birthday in March

1.)Im buying Zulus motor thats rated at 400 hp + motor mounts

2.)still deciding to upgrade the turbo or not need help with ths one + Injectors "maybe 1000cc like what Demon has"

3.) Buying a Fuel Pressure Regulator

4.) Buying an evo 8/9 Throttle body

5.) Moving Battery

6.) Doing a full interior "except dashboard and flooring" To evo 8 style including seats

7.) Getting rims as well heres a link http://www.kdperformance.com/Fabrica...brl_grande.jpg
there going to be all black.

8.) EDIT** stage 3 racing clutch

Is there anything else I need to do

GOAL IS TO HIT 350-375 HP,

after this is done then I will keep the car for another year and buy my Evo 8

Woo!! this sounds exciting! Does the Evo8 or 9 TB simple bolt on to our motor? or what kind of mods do we need to do to make it fit, im interested in this! I also need to move my battery to the trunk or what ill prob do is get the evo bat tray and move it there so i can fit a more proper intake setup than what im running now, it basically has a 90* bend where the batt is and the filter almost touches the friggin fire wall lol. maybe ill hear her spool louder too, since it will be comin right off the turbo like most people have it! :-)

I think wait on the injectors, since you're not 100% what's gonna happen. You've got 10:1 compression going in, right? If so, then you're only going to run max 17psi I think. With that in mind, you might stick to a turbo like the stock one (or like, FP white), so that it spools quick and is efficient in that range. You don't wanna go too big with the turbo, especially with such a low redline, right?

Also....all that work and then "I will keep the car for another year and then buy my evo 8"???????Dude, that's so much money to spend, and time...just to toss it to the curb, like a dime store hooker! If I were your car....you'd be sleeping on the couch tonight!

So...If you do this, and do it right, dude....save the baby, don't let her go...she's worth more to you than anyone is going to pay for it.

Yeah...I asked RRM about this (and they can get something together), as well as read up on your threads with Senate's reply on which ones fit. LSD is expensive, but I bet it makes all the difference with launching, and all the way through first and second gears. You'll spend 1000 though, but I'm thinking if you're serious about racing, it's probably worth every penny and then some.

i didnt mean anything bad, im like hp hooked right now, everyone was right you think you will be satisfied but you arent and now I want to go faster. pus the car will be getting old in the next few years and I would like to get at least $5k with everthing done to it. But if not then its what ever ya know. I just figured when the car is maxed out just get an evo and I will pretty much have a car ready to squeeze more power out of it.

And is there any vendors working on new bodykits for our cars yet?

Heh...not many body kits that I'm aware of, at least that look decent. I like the evo7 conversion kits, but the kaminari is very "tasteful" as well. So, why max it out though, as you say, and then immediately buy an Evo? If you know you won't be satisfied with the lancer, just save for the Evo or get a project car that you can push to what will satisfy (240sx? 350z? mustang...). I mean, I understand the car getting old and all, but I think that anything you do to it, wont increase the value of the car, and probably will increase the money you put into it. I guess in the end, it's personal opinion, and I'm usually "in it for the long haul". One thought though, if you do end up getting Zulu's engine in, and then having it all nice and what not....down the road, If you sell the car, I'd be willing to buy the engine out of it, and even get you mine, so you could put it back to stock. Seeing as we are practically neighbors and all...no shipping ought to be necessary.

yeah your right lol, well the motor won't have too many miles on it at all when im done, I just need to save up about 3-4k for the evo because im already approved for a loan of 8k. And if I can get at least 2-3k for the car then it will be all said and done. I do plan on buying his motor though.

+1^^ I have wayyyyyyyyyyy too many hours invested in this car. Hundreds of hours in this thing long before I decided to go turbo. I think I will end up keeping this for a DD with a little muscle then get either my supra or evo (this is after we get the wife a new ride) and really tear into it and build some serious power

Well if we all decide to get evos, supras and what not let's make sure as car enthusiast not to be like the evo guys and be a Dick about peoples cars. The lancer community has taught me a lot and I respect all of us as lancer guys

Yeah, I think it's not so much my exp with the lancer specifically...but in life in general. I've never had the money to buy things, so I've had to learn how to do custom stuff that rivals what others spend money on. Certainly lets me respect the work of others, while still enjoying the quality of oem.

My next car is gonna be something that uses EcuFlash...that's all I'm sayin. Sub, Evo, newer lancer....such a neat tool, I don't want to give up that knowledge.

This is what is really starting to steer me away from the supra and more towards the evo (that and the $20k price tag for any mk4 supra worth buying). I have learned wayyyy too much with this car and already have the tools to where If I did buy an evo I could add horsepower right away just by upping the boost and using my nifty Tactirx to adjust settings accordingly
